Is that a direct link to the sire that emailed you? I don't want to go there. Can you copy/ post what was said in the email but not the link?

I am serious

I didn't open it, I just thought it was strange. The original email showed a golden ticket
but wouldn't come up that way when I copied the link. I'm thinking spam and marked it as such.

It just says access denied when you click on it. Can someone post a screen shot of the full page of the email?

On a side note, Classic Car resto club has been around awhile and reputable. I believe its a pay per member site. Sent a pm to IB about the emails.

It says 'Admit One Free', but if you click on it, it opens a new webpage and the 'free' entry ticket changes to an 'Admit One' for only $7, instead of their normal cost of $28 for the entire restoration package.

I believe we used to call that "Bait and Switch" when I was a kid.

I've been getting those for years. They actually send along some useful tech tips and videos and some interesting reading, but mostly they want to sell subscriptions, which they're fairly relentless about. I just keep anything useful or interesting and delete the rest.

Near as I can tell, they're harmless.

I subscribed to that site about 2 years ago. They show you the obvious but nothing useful. They have you sign up with a credit card and, to my suspicion they try to auto pay with that card the next year. I 1 upped them by using a card that was going to expire in a week so no auto pay here. They promise all these tips and they never come. just delete it.

we are not big fans of these emails either, but they do their part in keeping our lights on.

Feel free to ignore/delete/unsubscribe from them.

I got one as well. I opened the e-mail on my phone so it didn't display properly. I saw the ticket but the photos didn't come through. I just deleted it.
