Rip

My condolences to the Ford family. No person should die from cancer.

I despised the man and found him to be a national embarrassment.

RIP none the less.

Although here in the states we understand your feelings about this man. We've have our share of people just like him. Sadly we also found him/them quite entertaining. RIP Mr Ford.

R.I.P Rob Ford. Its unfortunate for his kids. The wife well, I'm sure she spent many nights alone while he was out in Kogneato. Maybe him and Janis Joplin are flying around above us as we speak !

Just a few words about Rob Ford

He was a Father, Son, Husband and a Brother among many other things. I grew up with the Ford family, went to high school along side of his brother Doug and watched Rob grow up from the kid I saw on my street many years ago.

Rob's son and daughter visit their grandmother's house across the street from me.

He won't be the one dropping them off anymore.

You despised the man? Really, or do you despise bad choices?
Did you know him personally oldsmobiledave?

I did.

Rob had his demons, like many of us do, and then cancer got a hold of him. Rob was a fighter.

Rest in Peace Robbie.
Ben

Let me correct the semantics of my statement for you.

I did not know him personally. You are correct in that I despised his actions not the man. I am not alone in my feelings toward Rob Ford the political person. In my opinion and in the opinion of many he was unfit for office.

My condolences to you for the loss of the man that you knew. I made clear in my original post that he did not deserve his final fate and I expressed my sympathy to those who knew him beyond what the world saw.

Well said Ben, living in the GTA we followed Toronto news and I felt he was given a bad shake by the press and other members of Toronto cabinet.
R.I.P Rob Ford, you will be missed.
