Hi was thinking ; is it possible to find out if the first owner of my 98
still is alive ? Or if he have children .
Would be very intresting if there was some old pictures of the car.

The first owners adress in 1965 was :

While it would be great to find out as much of the early history of your car as possible, you likely won't find anything.

First off, privacy laws in the U.S. would prevent government agencies, such as state motor vehicle bureaus, from giving out personal information about the prior owners of cars. Second, there are no central databases of car ownership history. Records are kept at the state level, and anything from that time period would have been on paper and likely now long discarded.

One place where you are way ahead is actually having the address of the original owner. If I were you, I would write a letter to that address explaining who you are and why you're writing. The chances that the family who lived in the house when the car was purchased is still living in it now, almost 55 years later, are small, but it costs only a postage stamp to send the letter. The worst that can happen is that they don't respond. The chances are great that you won't hear back because the chances are great that ownership of the house has changed, probably more than once, over the last 5.5 decades. But as I say, it can't hurt to try.

the area's housing was built up after WWII & that house was built in '49
my grandparents lived close by in South Euclid, Ohio - there are still a few people living in those neighborhoods that have raised families & been there for 50+ years

1107 Brandon Road, house built in 1949. West Helen J, bought it on 9/20/1985 from Tichy Otto & Ruth K who bought it on 1/1/1975. I'll assume looking at their community website they have a section for "seniors". I'd reach out to that group and ask about the Tichy family and or contacts to that family. It's possible they owned the house in 1965.

 

Thanks JATA , yes the first owners lastname was/is Tichy. So i should try to figure out Otto and Ruth,s community webside and senior section,
The car was bought in january 22 , 1965 at Dowd Oldsmobile Inc 8-215.

Otto Tichy of Ohio born in 1907 passed away in 1993
Ruth Tichy of Ohio born in 1907 passed away in 1987

and an older brother/relative's family listing from a 1930 census:

Ok thanks. The first owners name was David A Tichy. So Ruth and Otto has passed away.

So Arline should be 98 years old now in 2020 if she is alive ?

Keep in mind that the great likelihood is that none of these people will have a clue about this car, let alone any photos or information about it. You might get lucky, but the chances are small. A '65 98 is a pretty cool car now, but in 1965 and in the years immediately following, it was just another car.

but M & F are male/female - the W is for "race" white

 

David A Tichy - born in 1938 (son of Otto & Ruth) ~27 when he bought the 98

David had a residence in Olmsted Falls Ohio, maybe JATA can get a little more detail, but it looks like it was sold shortly before he passed away
I'd bet he was spending summers in Ohio & wintering in Florida, which my grandparents did after they were "empty nesters" thru most of the '60s & '70s

Dorthy Cheurico, is trustee for David A Tichy who passed away in July 2017. She became trustee in September 2017. The property attached to this trustee is 2122 platinum drive, sun city, Florida which David bought in March 2000. So, from the records she is still the trustee, and this house 2122 Platnium Dr is still part of the trust.

 

Dowd Oldsmobile's location is currently a MOTORCARS Toyota/Scion dealership
I knew I lived close-by, but looking at a map - I lived 1-mile away when David bought this car in '65 ……
