Nice, Eric. I have not had to undergo this procedure, but nearly everyone I know seems to have had it done.

The onset of cataracts in both eyes came quickly. Once it started it went down hill fast. It started as seeing rings around lights and trouble driving at night, to just seeing blurry images within 2 years on each eye respectively. You don't think about eyesight until it happens.

At age 68, I just found out that I have cataracts. Just fine. My optometrist said that most people will have the surgery by age 73.
I told my wife that my vision has changed so much in the last 20 years that when I am welding it is like I am doing it by "feel" because of focal length and difficulty seeing the puddle. I guess as we age, we adapt somewhat.

My Doctor said, "you have cataract." I said, "no, Lincoln Continental."

LOL... Well Monday I have my checkup appt and get my eyes checked for an up to date prescription for glasses. The prescription I currently have is close, but probably needs a bit of tweaking. This time I'll opt for sunglasses also. All in all feels good to be able to see out of both eyes at the same time again.
