Two Classicoldsmobile members were out hunting for BarnFinds, and as they were walking along they come upon a huge hole in the ground. They approach it and are amazed by the size of it.
The first member said, "Wow, that's some hole. I can't even see the bottom. I wonder how deep it is."
The second Member said, " I don't know. Let's throw something down and listen to see how long it takes to hit bottom."
The first member said, "There's this old jet-a-way transmission here. Give me a hand and we'll throw it in.
So they picked it up, carried it over, counted one, and two and three, and threw it in the hole.
They are standing there listening and looking over the edge. They heard a rustling in the brush behind them.
As they turned around, they saw a goat come crashing through the brush, run up to the hole and with no hesitation, jump in head first.
While they are standing there looking at each other, looking in the hole and trying to figure out what that was all about, an old farmer walked up.
"Say there," said the farmer, "you fellers didn't happen to see my goat around here anywhere, did you?"
The first member said, "Funny you should ask. We were just standing here a minute ago and a goat came running out of the bushes doin' about a hunert miles an hour and jumped headfirst into this hole here!"
The old farmer said, "That's impossible. I had him chained to a transmission!"![Big Grin](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Very funny--and ironic for me. I am on vaca and we visited West Virginia for a family function. While there killing time my wife and I wander around and find something called-Lost World Cavern in Lewisburg WV.
The story goes.... a farmer found a deep hole on his property and for years would throw vines,cuttings,garbage--anything in need of disposing down there. After many years of this he realized it is not filling in. So, around 1940 some brave soul went down on a rope and discovered a huge underground cavern with formations that were thousands of years old. For the next 20 or so years the only access was ropes or scary rope ladders about 120 feet long. About 1962 the property owner dug a tunnel to access the cavern and there is now a freindlier stair access. Definitley wort checking out if you are in the area.-I will post a pic or 2.
