Who would have thought that 8 years later , there would be no more olds ! This was the letter that came with the book .

No, they were available for purchase, still some out there.

They were given to anyone who attended the 1997 Olds National centennial event also. Still have mine

Apparently that letter was only for employees. As noted, the book was given to anyone who registered for the Centennial back in '97, and it was made available for retail purchase. New copies can be purchased right now on Amazon.

I must have got hosed twice! OCA member since 3-1997 and registered for the centennial, plaque #1002. I was never offered or received from either entity!

I have two copies one is signed by both Helen and Jim.

You know, now that I think about it, maybe they limited the book-giving to the first some-number registered, like maybe the first 500 registered or the first 1000. Your registration number is very high. I don't recall what mine was as my plaque is hanging on the wall in my office at work, but I do remember it was in the 200s.
