This guy bought a 2017 BMW limo serie 7 , 4wd and put a Olds -59 body over it.

 

Wow! Where to start? Beautiful concept, well done and really nice results. I noticed how many different people were involved in the build not to suggest that the "Steven" guy didn't have skills but he went for help where he didn't excel it appears. At first I thought this would be one of those builds where someone drops a shell onto a rolling chassis calls it good but the amount of fabrication involved in this build was obviously tremendous. Electric windows, wheels, Bluetooth controlled everything, rear bumper exhaust cutouts, suspension, sound system, window wipers, headlights, etc. And I probably forgot some other things highlighted on the video and am sure that everything he did wasn't in the video. I like it, good work. I just wished I could understand what was being said as I am sure that would have explained some on what was being seen. Maybe he should have put some more chrome on it? ... Naw.

He have done such this before with a Dodge Coronet , he bought the Olds long time ago and had it stored
until he purshased the BMW who was a little crashed. He choose the BMW 730d because it has the same wheelbase
like the Olds . He sad this was most important. Hood and trunk hinges are homemade because of the BMW chassie.
I donīt know your word for the shiny trim on the floor when you opens the door but there is 50% Olds and 50% BMW.
He also liked the colour of the interior and it fit the patinalook of the car , he wanted a more discreet look. The build
took 3 years and have a diesel six cylinder engine. Rims are 21" and designed for the car. BMW technology works
like heated and massage in the rear /front seats , softclose doors , cameras , rainsensors , computers , canbus system
and so on. It,s like to drive a new car he says , there are only some windnoise around the windows. There was a lot
of work with the seats to get access to rear seat and many other things. The car have also selfparking from BMW
with radar sensors under the bumpers and a lot more. The challenge was to get all BMW technology to work in the
Olds. And he hope to take the car to US if a opportunety comes.

 

After all that work and money the car deserves a decent paint job. Maybe it just my age (probably) but I hate patina. Imagine what this car would look like with a high quality paint job in red. I read about patina wraps. To me that is really nuts. Okay, now some of you guys can let loose on me.

 

I am 63 years old and love both patina and nice paint. Many here drives cars with patina because
they will use the car and donīt be afraid of scratches in parking places and other places. It,s nice to
se a good paint job but i donīt like "trailer queens". But we all have a different opinion and thats good

 

Thanks for sharing more information on the project, I suspected that there was a lot of technology in the build but couldn't guess that you had preserved all the BMW gadgets, bells and whistles. Good job. I'm kind of like you Glenn and enjoy a nice paint job on a classic but realize that there is a place for patina and it can be appreciated as well. GCH you mentioned the shiny trim on the door when opened, I think you are referring to the door sill plates as seen in the second photo of the car with the door opened, at least that's what I call them.
