Obscure Oldsmobile sightings

Obscure Oldsmobile sightings
Found this 62 Cutlass in an 80s music video. As much as I was into Dream Syndicate I don't remember ever seeing this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i80ND...eature=related
The Dream Syndicate had a couple references to Oldsmobiles in their songs and their original bassist Kendra Smith owned a 69 Delta 88. There's a picture of her sitting on it in the Rhino compilation album notes. She was damn cute...
The one that turned me on to them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-iaJ...watch_response
And one of the Oldsmobile references http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76Pkg...eature=related at 0.55
Who else has some obscure sightings?

There is a Red 68 442 Convertible in Chicago's Stay The Night (Chicago 17 - 1984).
Funny, that chick drives like I used to.

I love this John Mayer song and was pleasantly surprised to see a red '72 Cutlass convertible starting at about the 2 minute mark:

There's also a making-of which has a few quick shots of it parked:

There is a sad looking 71 or 72 Cutlass in Seether's Broken video, gotta look for it in the background a few times in the video. Looks to be missing the fenders.

Brendan Fraiser's rocker girlfriend drives a 67 Cutlass convertible in 'Airheads'. It looked like a beater though.
Also, I think Norm MacDonald's character in 'Dirty Work' drove a real tired-looking 70 or 71 Cutlass convertible. Cool in the end though, when he scams a few bucks off Shooter McGavin and the Cutlass gets a nice new red paint job.

Wasn't there a '71-72 Cutlass convt in a funny movie with Woodie Haroldson called Kingpin. And there's a blue Cutlass convt in a old movie with Meline Graffith. And who could forget the silver Cutlass convt in White Men Can't Jump

Older thread, but had to revive it today once I spotted this on while on a Tom Petty binge...

A little off topic but I was surprised to see a reference to Kendra Smith(who was cute)...I caught the Dream Syndicate later but I loved Opal(another Kendra Smith band). Good taste RocketRaider!

On Sons of Anarchy Tara, who is the female lead, drives a '67 Cutlass. Looks clean but in close ups you can see rot under the vinyl top.

Here's a challenge for you detective types !
Years ago (like 15-20?) I saw a cheezy low budget sci-fi flick on cable that featured a faded Sapphire Blue '68 Cutlass convertible. It may have had blue int & a white top..although I don't remember the top ever being up & the car was a bit rough.
I kinda remember it being some kind of 'Tremors' type movie with the leads running around out in a desert area and stopping (always sliding to a dusty stop!) at various abandoned gas stations/road side shacks. I seem to remember the lead woman ran around in Daisy Dukes with a big chrome revolver.
The only reason I even remember the movie was because of the car... as I have a '68 'vert.
I've tried to find out what the movie was sporadically over the years just to satisfy my curiosity but have never been able to find it....

I stumbled upon this video on youtube last night. This car WAS a '75 Ninety Eight Regency. Now, I have no idea what the hell you would call it....what a freak show!

I can't find the clip on You Tube, but if anyone has seen "Outside Providence" with Alec Baldwin - it was set in RI in the 70's - was filmed here too - my '71 Convertible (my signature) was one of the first cars in the parking lot of "Shchaeffer Stadium" - aka (now) as Gillette in Foxboro - used it to film that scene - even have an "Official Movie Car" plaque for it! My buddies Mopar wagon was the one they drove around in for the whole movie too (that's now moved on to the boneyard in the sky via Gold's in Newport).

I always liked Burt Reynolds' custom '55 Super 88 in W.W. and the Dixie Dance Kings.

One of my favorite films! It takes place between 1972 and 1984, so there are some interesting cars throughout.
