No rice or Toilet paper

Come on Horders they cleaned out Wall mart and Costco of all rice and toilet paper. I went to the Dollar store to buy the toilet paper I guess it will last a week here. I have had a cough for over 10 years now and they have scanned my whole body from toes to head trying to find it but nothing yet. I had blood test done today and they asked me if I had a cough I said yes But I have had it for years then he said OK. How is it in your State. Here in California its bad but were making it.

I just sent my mother in Anaheim, 6 big bottles of antibacterial wipes and 6 packages of portable wipes. We went to Costco here in East Lansing they did have plenty of TP, bottled water and rice a month ago. We got everything then. And this was just our normal routine, every quarter.

Our regular stores are out of bottles anti-bacterial gels. TP can be sketchy. Not sure why a 8 pack or 16 (decent side family) of TP can't last these people a couple of weeks, if needed? Panic does not solve anything.

The misses and I are on Maui this time next week. As of now no Covid there. And as luck would have it, no west coast stop.We just got our first cases yesterday in Michigan. Of course no details from our wonderful government and media. We know that they were both heavy business travelers.

I have a full case (96 rolls ) of single-ply (80 grit sand paper) that was delivered by mistake at work. It has been sitting in my basement for about 18 years
The kids swiped about 10 rolls to TP a house probably 12 years ago
May finally have a use for the rest of it Hope not, I have a sensitive Bottom

Do you wanna run out? My wife bought into the hype. When TP is the new currency I'll be ready.

Dollar Store TP - I'd rather use my hand or an old T-Shirt

Concepts during a panic are not always rational. Mention TV dinners and peanut butter and you could start a frenzy.

Don't mention you bought the last chest type freezer on the floor at the "big box store" to stockpile the TV Dinners......til you buy your freezer.

they fear they are going to have to self quarantine for 14 days or more so they want to make sure they have enough butt wipe.

If it came down to it, I have an abundance of old gray T's that may or may not have grease on them that would work just fine.
The wife and I are not buying into the hype. We have had a cruise scheduled since last year for our 38th anniversary to the Bahamas
and intend on going. Hell or high water. The advisory fella from Ed Jones investments called me in a panic. I told him to let it ride, and oh,
I want $1000 in Halliburton please, lol.

My friend was at Costco Monday, couldn’t find TP. Employee told her they received it some time Friday & sold out the full trailer of it over the weekend.

Too bad that Montgomery Wards and Sears (on life support) don't have those big catalogs anymore. At least we would have a plan B. I am still trying to figure out how to wipe my rear end with a online catalog!

Retailers need to limit these jack asses. It just promotes price gouging and people fighting. You can't even buy aloe vera and rubbing alcohol to make your own hand sanitizer.

I was surprised as a youngster when my dad told me how expensive toilet paper was when he was a kid. He grew up in a logging camp until he was 14 years old and they just couldn't afford it. Trips to the outhouse and those old catalogs were the name of the game when he had to go. Toilet paper doesn't seem so much like a luxury anymore and it befuddles me why people are hoarding it. We were in need today as our last roll when on the holder. Went to Fred Meyers - all out. Then to WALMART - all out. Then to COSTCO - what a zoo and they were all out. Finally, on the way home we went to WINNCO and they had some. Got two packages of 12 rolls each - hopefully that will hold us over until people realize that toilet paper will not cure the coronavirus!

I dont understand why people buy bottles and bottles of water. Save your money and get a PUR filtered water system.

Someone posted an ad on either Kijiji or face book, to trade one 24 pack of tissue for a three bedroom house.

Kroger, Target and a number of other retailers in the DFW area have started rationing those items. Including bottled water.

Beginning of 2020 season to be delayed Major League Baseball has announced that Opening Day will be delayed by at least two weeks due to coronavirus. In addition, Spring Training games have been cancelled.

Stockpiling toilet paper and bottled water. How times have changed. Previous generations survived hard times with flour, beans, and salt pork.

Eh, substitute jerky for salt pork. Same concept. Some folks these days have no concept of how to survive hard times and would get stuck on an escalator during a power outage.

So get a load of this: my wife went to Costco to buy some steaks, a pie, salads and one of their great roasted chickens, my brother is FLYING in tomorrow to spend a few weeks here in Dallas. She just called me said there no baskets! She said she would have to wait for one and someone told her that it took them 30 minutes in a check out line and all the lanes are open. I told her to come on home. This is beyond my scope of rationalization.
