It's no big deal. But if Norm had reported it where all the mods see it. It could have eliminated alot of confusion

I reported it for him. So, all the mods can do whatever they want

Hi everyone.

Work was a peach. Got out by noon. My usual inspection partner was back from vacation, but surprise of all surprises the one guy who never does this came to work with me. I'd say that besides me he's the most conscientious of the group of us. Does good inspections, checks his serial numbers, asks questions when he doesn't know something. Imagine.

Went to the "other" Stockbridge Walmart this afternoon and got a few things. No problems today. I don't care for that place and the prices are higher, but it worked for today.

Rain off and on all day, and it's gotten cold. Although I have been able to enjoy the dark an hour later bit for a couple days. We should change time once a month so it's always light at 9pm.

Got some laundry going, so I'm not going to make my 8pm bedtime, so I think I'll watch a little TV. Hump Day awaits us. Have a good evening everyone.

Back at ya James! Is that a stock photo or did you make the cornedbeef and cabbage for dinner? I love that stuff. I've got alot of Scotch/Irish in my genealogy on both sides.

Hi everyone.

Cold and dreary out. Dank, if you will. Supposed to get bad storms tonight then hopefully some relief from it all. All this runoff is making lots of trails of yellow pollen.

From the Be Careful What You Wish For department, today I got to work and I thought, wouldn't it be nice if the washer broke down and we had a couple hours to screw off. Well guess what, one of the wheel halfs got blown off its float and jammed the chain and it took an hour or so for it to get fixed. Really all that meant was that I didn't get out until after everyone else left after 2. Oh well, I knew I didn't have anything planned after work so I didn't worry about it.

So it's St. Patty's Day. I'm not Irish but my Dad was. Did the family tree thing when I was in school. My Grandmother's grandparents came over from Ireland I believe mid 1800s. I didn't wear anything green today. The Chicago River is green. Saw a picture of a beautiful green New Yorker with a luscious dark green interior. And that's the extent of my St. Patty's Day. I should go to McDonalds and get a Shamrock shake. Hm. I just might.

Well have a good afternoon everyone. Jamesbo enjoy your corned beef. I'm going to have meatloaf.

James - That is a weird one, hard to believe none of the kids like it. I wonder if their parents did? Like I said before, I love it. I also love cornedbeef sandwiches, especially Reubens.. Another goodie is ham hocks and cabbage. I just ate (pork chops, corn, and Mac & Cheese), but all this talk about good food has got me hungry again already. Trust me, there is a legitimate reason my wife sometimes refers to me lovingly as "the bottomless pit".

Chris, I'm sure the good Irish parents ate it

Mac and cheese is one thing I can take or leave. It just doesn't crank my tractor

I love Rubens and hot pastrami on rye but my all time favorite 'sink Sandwich" is a BLT on toasted bread with melted blue cheese

Now we're both making each other hungry

James - My favorite sandwich is also a BLT on toast. There is a working candy factory in St. Louis that also has a diner called Crown Candy Diner. The diner specializes in sandwiches and their malts, and they are nationally recognized for their "Heart Stopper BLT". My wife and I always go there on our anniversary, it's kinda "our place". Anyway, when we go in there I order 2 of these BLTs and their large hot caramel malt. The waitresses' eyes then bug out of her head, and she always asks, do you know how big those are, and my wife will reply, he'll eat every bite.

Heart Stopper BLT

My usual order, 2 Heart Stoppers

Not much of a corned beef & cabbage guy. Scot Irish on my mom's side, and my grandmother on my dad's side was Irish. We can trace her ancestry back 250+ years in the U.S. Chris, that is a fine looking sandwich.

Wife claims to be Irish, every year we have a huge corned beef brisket and cabbage. I am not sure what I am (other than proud USA Citizen) but I sure love it, and actually most all food! Well I've been working like crazy over in the barn on the old truck. It starts out slow and frustrating with broken stuff and empty tanks, welding wire running out, etc, but now I am sort of back in the groove. I always wanted to restore a old car and do body work, so I thought this old truck would be a good thing to learn on as it will never be a super valuable car like a 57Nomad or W30 442. I thought after I retired I would work on this truck and after it is finished I would buy a more valuable car and be able to do high class work. Well after working on this one I don't think I will ever do another. It really is a PIA! I can see why people start something and get discouraged and quit. But I will keep going.
GCH, love your tractor. I remember once I had a full exhaust system off a car complete with bends to go up and over the rear end. I had a Chevy truck that needed a exhaust and put that curvy wierd looking system on it. It was quiet but you couldn't see it. Looks like that's what you used on your tractor? Ok take care guys!

Good morning guys,
Cool (44) and raining hard on and off this morning. We've now had a considerable amount of rain 6 out of the last 7-days. There's standing water everywhere and there's localized flooding in many locations. One of two ways we have to get from our subdivision to a major road is underwater. Luckily we've only seen the current way out underwater twice in the 12-years we've been here, and that was only for a day each time. The rain is supposed to move out tonight and we're supposed to have several nice days in a row.

We went to see the new granddaughter for the 1st time on Wednesday, she was a week old. My how you forget how small they are at that age! She is beautiful though, and very peaceful. My daughter said she hardly ever fusses or cries so far. Her 2-year old little boy seems to be adapting well to his new sister and just wants to help.

No big plans in the near future, but itching for the nice weather to get here and stay to get the toys out. Hope everyone has a great day and weekend!

I am going to take advantage of the 60 and sunny forecast for Sat & Sun to try and get the fan shroud back on the car (finally) and get the correct repop upper radiator hose in the 64. Also do some more detailing under the hood, as I know that is a big negative for the car. Well, that, and I think I'm going to need to nudge the price down a bit.

Hi everyone.

Pretty out, but a little windy. We missed the big storms last night and this morning, but we did get some rain. Supposed to be nice this weekend.

Work went better today, though I heard each robot was going to be down for 4 hours for maintenance. Not sure why they couldn't do that after work. I was on the way home around a quarter after 1. I feel beat up though, not sure why. Thankfully tomorrow is the last day of inspection for a week.

Jeff do you have your car advertised already? What color are your seats? A friend of mine has that car with medium blue seats and a blue top. What a pretty car.

I'm going over to the shop in a little while to find a couple tires off one of the trailers. I'm going to have the bad tires dismounted from the rims, then sand blast the rims and repaint them. And of course get new tires for them. These rims have been removed and thrown into a pile of other tires/rims that need to be separated. I wish I had my own machine, it would be a whole lot handier.

Well have a good afternoon everyone. One more to go.

Yes, car is listed in the For Sale forum. Black interior, white top. You guys sure did have some crazy weather overnight, Mike. 16 tornados! My niece and two of her kids lived thru a tornado destroying their home about 10 years ago. Totally leveled it, they were all sucked out of the house.

Jeff - Good luck with the sale.

I admit I'm getting pretty damn full by the time I eat all that, but not so full that I feel sick. The worst part is all that salt makes you thirsty for 3-days. They are appropriately named Heart Stoppers. We only go there once or twice a year, but I always look forward to the next time.

Thanks Greg , it was owner before me who mounted the muffler to have more visibility , works well but the engine sounds a lot more.
But the tractor works well , engine was rebuilt in the the last seventys so have still the original block.Ford had a lot of problems this
period when block rusted and water and oil could mix. So i change coolant fluid every 2 years .

So have a great weekend all , today we have a little snow left and sunny spring weather here in west of sweden , and the roads are fine and dry

Good morning guys,
Cold (34) and windy this morning behind the rain that has moved out. There's a big orange ball in the sky, I forget what they call it . . . LoL . . . but it's sure nice to see! Only suppossed to get up to 53 today, but low 60's on Saturday and Sunday.

My wife normally cleans house for our neighbor on Thursday, but switched her day to today because she was feeling rundown yesterday. I think she has been overdoing her furniture refinishing work and needs to take a few days off, but she's a stubborn one. She sold two 29" tall wooden barstools yesterday for $40 that we picked up for free, and she has someone who's coming today to look at a ladies vanity/dressing table she just finished up. We got the vanity for free and my wife's asking $300 for it, that'll be a nice profit margin if it sells.

No big plans for today, or the weekend for that matter. I have more dental insurance claims I need to reconcile, but I'm not feeling it right now, man I hate dealing with that crap!
I hope everyone has a great day!

Kenneth - I would never wish all those +100-degree days you had last summer on anyone, that had to be miserable. Call me an odd duck, but I'd rather have humid, 90-degree days than 50's anyday. At least I can get out and enjoy my bikes in the hot weather.

Hi everyone.

Good morning at work. The front people came in at 5 so they could hurry up and put out 85 wheels and then go home. At first I was a little put off, that the lead didn't say anything to me about it, but then I realized that they were dependent on me to get them their wheels, and I would leave at the same time or earlier than them and didn't have to come in early. Everyone left around the same time, about 10. A little early for my friends at the Awful house so I didn't stay long there.

Sunny out but a little breezy and cold. Kenneth you didn't get a very long reprieve from those high temps. I wouldn't mind if it were 86 here today.

Got a couple errands to run this afternoon. Supposed to be nice this weekend but cool. I hope I can get some stuff done outside. I need to go over to the shop and poke around.

Have a good afternoon everyone.
