James - I rented a horse and a cowboy once - never a mule, though. We rode horse & camped two days in the wilderness areas outside of Badlands National Park.

Good morning everyone.

This was the quietest and emptiest I've ever seen the Awful house on a Saturday morning. What's this world coming to. I will say I like the very less traffic that's out.

Norm my best friend went to U of I in the late 80s. He was the church goer type so all's we went to see was ****. We did go to a lot of bars, though. I went to see him every few weeks, Champaign was less than a two hour drive from my house.

I'm surprised I'm not more into those movies. I think Madeline Kahn was the funniest lady ever. Though I've seen History of the World Part 1 about 50 times.

Not quite as warmish as I had expected this morning, probably due to the impromptu rain shower we had. Cloudy with blue skies peaking through, hopefully the rain is done. It's Saturday so I'd like to go work on the Chev. We'll see.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

This must have been a nationwide thing. When I was in the Navy in San Diego in 76-79 there was a old theater at Ocean Beach that had the Rocky Horror Picture Show late night every weekend. People dressed up and squirted water guns during the rain scene, etc.etc. Then when I got out and returned to Michigan the same was happening at a theater in Lansing way into at least 1982. It was crazy!! I still love the music from that crazy movie!

Greg - Indeed, it was a nationwide phenomena for several years.
Mike - You should watch it.

While all the actors/actresses were awesome, Tim Curry really nailed it in his performance.

Hi everyone.

Thought I'd try something new today. Sleeping until 11. The past few days I've gotten up early, then was tired and slept all afternoon. This way I get that out of the way, and I'm about at the same place I'd be if I went to Awful house. I may go there tonight.

Nice out but cool. Overcast. The yellow pollen is going overboard. Seems to me the last couple years haven't been so bad. I guess we have to make up for that. When Tiger runs in the yard he kicks up a dust cloud.

Got a couple things to do this afternoon but I think I'll take it easy. Nothing pressing. New schedule for work tomorrow. Have a good afternoon everyone.

Jamesbo, sounds like it was time for your uncle, but still a sad occasion. You should feel good knowing all the help and love you showed him.

Good morning everyone.

Jamesbo so sorry. He sure put up a fight. God rest his soul.

Ugly out this morning. Good day to stay in bed. I was going to take the truck to have the trailer lights looked at but didn't get going in time. I needed to be home by noon to start getting ready for work and I didn't think I'd make it.

My plan for not sleeping in the afternoon didn't work out. My brain went into auto-shutdown and if I wouldn't have sat down I would have fallen down. Hope that doesn't happen today at work.

Hope everyone has a good day. I'm gonna putter around here until time for work.

Jamesbo, you have my condolence's on your uncles passing. Well, the Governor just issued a shelter at home order for Michigan, I wonder if I'll get pulled over on my way to work. Not trying to be a jerk, but the state can't shut us down as we have federal contracts, the military. Unless I here otherwise from my employer, I will be going in.

H.R. returned a phone call that I made earlier. Business as usual, we are critical to the function of the U.S. They will issue employees a letter by the end of our work shift, to show to law enforcement etc. if necessary. They returned my call as I used a land line, therefore my call wasn't blocked as private or unknown.

Hi everyone.

Well Day 1 of the new schedule seems to be a success. Dayshift apparently got all their wheels done in three hours and went home. We weren't quite that quick, taking a little more than 4 hours. We left dayshift with a third of their number for tomorrow already built. We'll see if they do the same for us.

Dan we got letters today as well. Delta is essential in the aviation sector and I need to be allowed priority access and right-of-way to all Delta facilities. Sounds pretty important. Our governor made a speech this evening but I just missed it. From what I gather from the post speech gibberish all restaurants now are take out only. Well that does it for the Awful house for me. I'm sure as hell not going to go get their food and bring it home. I go to sit around and kibitz. No kibitzing, no Awful house sorry to say.

Now to find something to do until bed time. Have a good evening everyone.

Mike, aerospace and related industries are considered vital to the U.S. infrastructure, as we supply parts to G.E for the airline manufacturers, and blades to Pratt-Whitney for the military, we are exempt from the Governor's orders to isolate at home. We got our letters today at work with our name on them, and were told to keep them on us or in our car, just in case we get stopped. I seriously doubt that that will happen, as grocery stores, veterinarian offices, gas stations, restaurants for take out, etc. will also be allowed to operate, that would make it impossible to police all of that traffic.

James - I’m sitting on the porch at the club right now with 10 members. Slight breeze and drizzle. Deciding what to do - could take us hours to decide.

Hi everyone.

Still tired. Couldn't sleep at all last night, stayed in bed till after 10 this morning. Eh, gloomy, cold, rainy out what's the point.

I've about had it. This virus bullshit has got to stop. The last thing I read was we are going to give it to ourselves, even if we don't have it. No one I've heard of knows anyone who actually has it. People who shouldn't matter are on TV boasting that they have it. But do they? I can't go to Awful house. My job is in jeopardy. Now "a woman" in Coweta County who is 42 has died, had no symptoms, no underlying problems, but no one seems to know who she is. Now you can get it from gas pumps. Who the hell is testing gas pumps? People are saying anything to sound relevant. I think Grizzly Adams was on to something.

Day 2 of second shift. I hope it goes as well as Day 1. I'd rather everything be back to normal, but all the *** clowns are on the opposite shift from me, and they have the lead no one likes. This is my silver lining I suppose. Had a nice evening last night with Tiger. We didn't do anything. Tonight I think I'll watch that movie "Wag the Dog."

Have a good afternoon everyone.

Hi everyone.

Took the truck to the trailer place this morning and they sorted out the non-working lights problem. Seems there were some chaffed wires that blew a fuse and everything is all better now. They even fixed the little plug in the bed for the gooseneck that I didn't know didn't work.

Jamesbo oddly enough the Awful house is still open. I guess it was only bars and clubs that the governor closed down. I suppose I could go in there to get something to go, and hold my breath while I'm inside. Though I've been past several times and there is never anywhere close to the 10 person limit.

Absolutely beautiful out. Gonna be that way all week, slowly warming up to the 80s by the weekend. A welcome break from the rain for sure. Now I need to mow.

We got the good news(not) that we are going to a 30 hour work week starting April 1. This will be until June 30. I think the only reason there aren't layoffs is because the president said any airline that lays off people are not going to get bail out money. So instead they're squeezing us like orange juice.

I figured out the cure to my insomnia. Booze. So I'll fix myself a drink and kick back for the rest of the evening. Hope everyone is doing well.

The first case of Covid-19 in my county was confirmed a couple of days ago, and guess what? it was a first shift supervisor at my shop. We've had a couple of more since in the county. I'm sure that it will continue to get worse. We asked questions about an unscheduled sanitizing on Tuesday night after they gathered us up for a meeting. They danced around any questions that we asked like power drunk politicians. We found out through a City health department website.

Dan - I suspect it regards HIPPA compliance?

Our county listed five cases earlier this week. No deaths - All five cases remain active.

James - There is no requirement in NC for trailer lights. I believe it might be on certain sized trailers, I'd have to look up the specifics. I own two trailers and they both have functioning lighting. I'll say however I am not a fan of anyone driving a trailer w/o lights. IMO, every state in the country should have a requirement which mandates all trailers must have minimum lighting. PLEASE be careful. I'm looking forward to hearing of you gallivanting about on your big green Gator. Tee time 8:00 AM for me.

BTW: They do sell adapter plugs.

Except for the news broadcasts and rumors floating around, all is just about normal for wife and I so far. Can't go up to the local pub and aren't doing Friday night get togethers with neighbors but everything else about the same. I'm glad I have a project to work on in the barn. And also all the spring cleaning stuff is starting. Good to have things to do. I made a appt with the MI. Secretary of State (DMV) to transfer the title and registration from the 05 truck to the f250 but now all SOS offices are closed period. So no big deal I guess, I can see it would be a big deal if you couldn't drive your car because of expired plates or something- I think I would just do it anyway. Can you imagine all the pent up jobs that will need to be done after this is all over?? Not just in the medical field but all thruout. Have a good one guys!!

Good morning everyone.

Sun was out when I got up but now it's cloudy. Gonna be fairly warmish today. I'll have to leave the bunker and walk past the roll up door to see what is going on outside. Going to work in daylight and coming home in daylight is a new concept for me.

I read this morning that late last night the bailout bill was passed and the airlines are getting 25B. I don't know if that's each or we all have to split it. We'll see if the paycuts are reversed. I have a hunch...

Looks like a fun little machine Jamesbo. Did I ask you before how much one of those could tow? I wonder if I could use one of those to drag the wrecks around the yard.

Awful house is now take out only. I think I'll pass. The food isn't that great and with no one to talk to what's the point. I should go get something to support them. I doubt it would make it home with Tiger being the lookout.

Dan that sucks that the company can't even be on the up and up with the employees. Well, at least you found out and the company can't control everything. Why am I picturing the guy detailing Seinfeld's car when the BO valet was in it.

Okay gonna start getting ready for work. It's been a breeze so far. Very relaxed and no stress/drama. Have a good afternoon everyone.
