I remember seeing that news clip when it aired. Watched Garfield Goose for years growing up, as well as Bozo and Ray Raynor. My parents watched Family Classics every week. My favorite classic? Tobor.

Headed for the pain management place in the A.M., supposed to be there at least two hours for an evaluation and treatment. Hopefully they will give me a Cortisone shot to take care of the dang pain in my back.

Aerated and top-dressed our greens three weeks ago. Aerated the fairways last week & received 4" rain in x3 days directly after aeration - SWEET! Aerated and top-dressed all tee-boxes last week & this week. Course is in awesome condition.

Hi everyone.

Slow day today. The lead hasn't been there so guess who has been spouting his big fat mouth off, thinking he's in charge. I keep saying I'm going to say something, perhaps now is the time. It just gets worse and worse.

Hot and sunny. Usually I drive home with the vent on, which is really like having the heater on. Today I had to turn on the AC. I need to get that convertible going.

Dan good luck at PM.

Think I'll mow my greens today. I hate when my ***** get lost in the rough.

Official start of the Oldsmobile today in 1897. And if it weren't for the Chinese liking Buicks...

Okay out I go. I think I'll lay off the overtime for the rest of the week. Didn't sleep worth a darn last night so went in regular time. If the lead isn't going to be there then I don't need to go listen to two extra hours of some POS blathering on.

Have a good afternoon everyone.

Nothing like spending a few hours being hugged by people ya don't like and would rather kick in the ***** than get hugged

Last night a politco had one that I went to [at gun point]

Nothing like hanging out with a few hundred phony bologna 'wanta a be's

End of rant

Well, I got six injections into my lower back, didn't hurt too bad, just when I had to roll onto the gurney to go to recovery, which was about ten minutes. Lower left is a little annoying more than anything. We'll see how work goes, as that is when I have the most pain. This may last up to two weeks, if it works. A second injection may be necessary that will last up to two months.

Hi everyone.

Finished just in time today. Went in at regular time and I'll probably do that again tomorrow. Though I'm going to work Saturday.

Dan hope the injections work. My neighbor went to pain management, but he complained about everything so it's hard to tell if it actually worked.

Jamesbo was this for the woman who wants to run for mayor?

Chiro today. That will be about it. See you all later.

Mike, No, That's my next door neighbor that ran and lost and hasn't spoken to me in 2 years I kinda like it.

She got PO'd at me cause I wouldn't let her put up a yard sign on my property. She said, "You've let Joe [not real name] put a sign up"

And I said, "That's because he was at Khe Sanh with the Marines'

So the idiot says, "He wasn't in the Marines he was in the Navy"

[ He was with the Seabees at Khe Sanh]

This lady [what had the party] is on the city council and had a get together with about 100 people I wish I didn't know

Evening.

Been enjoying my time back at the old job ( driving CMM) and doing 4-day week. Lots of time with the family now.
Been visiting the garage and seeing my car, and tinkering some small things alongside, like new battery cables. Side-mount, whatever they are called, batteries are next to non-existant here in Europe, so i made new cables for top-mount batteries.

Not much else. Just came from sauna. Have a day all.

Hi everyone.

Jamesbo are you going to fix the pump yourself, ie lifting the bed up and accessing the pump like everyone seems to think is so easy?

Finished work right at 1 today, and left at 130. Starting at 4 tomorrow for 8 over. No Sunday.

Gonna go pick up the Corvair and take it to see about having a top put on it. I won't have it done today, just finding out about it.

Nice and hot and sunny. Rain is forecast but so far nothing. It can stay that way, though we could use some. I won't say that out loud.

Have a good afternoon everyone.

I recall trying to become acquainted w/ PeachTree in ATL many years ago. It didn't help I was spending too many evenings @ the local pubs in %uckhead. I was seeing PeachTree everywhere - I can't tell you how many times I got lost leaving an 'establishment' in &uckhead and getting on "some" fricking PeachTree Road, or Street, or whatever. What a cluster &uck navigating around &uckhead.

Norm, I was born and reared kin Buckhead. It went from a nice village [50/60's] to a few hundred bars [until the Ray Lewis episode] to a bunch of high rise condos

It's a great place to be FROM

In fact I am a ' Buckhead Boy

James- Wow, you're from Buckhead. I'll bet it was a pleasant village back in the 50s/60s. I always admired the really nice old family homes I witnessed driving and walking around Buckhead. I didn't spend much time in the 60s, 70s or 80s becoming acquainted w/ Buckhead but I did spend a limited amount of time around the "area" of Buckhead visiting friends and passing through. Throughout the 90s and into 2013 I watched Buckhead change considerably and witnessed the sprawl & buildup taking place in Roswell/Alpharetta. I recall when MARTA was constructed and spent some time riding MARTA. I had numerous customer/client engagements throughout ATL & several friends which took residence in Roswell and attended John Marshall law school. I enjoyed Fado's, Elbow Room & Red Bar. Fact is - I attended The Gold Club during the 90s and it was, in fact, everything the news media made it out to be - OMG what a place it was - I was "blown away"! We used to go to Piedmont Park back in the day and have a nice time listening to music - I heard it's all closed down. It's been ~6 years since I've been to ATL or the surrounding areas. I can only imagine the sprawl & buildup in the Roswell/Alpharetta area. I was working on the West side of ATL in a secret location developing/implementing network monitoring & management software for the new ATL Aquarium (2005) conceived by Bernie Marcus. I was leaving work that day on the West side (Interstate 20) driving back to Beaufort, NC via Interstate 20 and had to swing by the courthouse area when I noticed GA DMV freeway/interstate signs displaying the make/model/license plate for a car "on-the-lookout". I never saw so many unmarked and marked LEO vehicles in my entire life congregated along every single interstate ON/OFF ramp in my life. I of course was looking for this car, also, as I headed Eastward back towards North Carolina. Every single over-pass, interchange and side road was swarmed with LEO vehicles - I was like WTF is going on here? It really was mind-boggling. Come to find out on my return home it was Brian Nichols who shot & killed the judge in the ATL courthouse. I was in the exact area of the courthouse within the first 15 minutes of that ordeal.

Hi everyone.

Ran things almost to the end today, left about 1130. That's okay, had time to hit the Awful house. Today is beautiful and not too hot. Gonna break out the mower here in a little bit.

I think I've been to Buckhead once. Went to a bar years ago with a group of guys before one of them's wedding. We didn't get roudy, though, just had a good time. We didn't stab anyone. Jamesbo I read all through that thing on Ray Lewis( I had listened to your friend read that before). I was here in Atlanta at the time but don't remember any of it.

Norm it's a good thing you weren't -in- the courthouse at that time. Who knows who we'd be interacting with today. I do remember that event.

I might go over to the shop later and see if I can get into anything. Plenty to do over there as well. Might just stay home and play with Tiger.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Hi everyone.

Overcast and cool. Hm, must be fall. Eh, it's still August, we're going to get some more hot weather I'm pretty sure. It was a calming 68* when we went to the Awful house this morning, so Tiger didn't need the AC to run.

Stayed up late, slept in. I like that combination. Early to bed tonight, gonna start back with the two early on Monday.

I need to change the transmission filter in the dogmobile, it's already 2000 miles overdue and I'm going to see my Mom next weekend. So it's gotta get done today. I tell you what else I need to do, there's a new pull apart right here in town I need to go see. It used to be a real old-fashioned junkyard, until the owner's son killed him and went to jail. I don't know the timeline from then to now, but it turned into a u pull it place so I gotta go see it.

And some time this week the dogmobile is getting new shoes. That will be about 600 bucks, I'm getting Michelins. The cheepies that are on it now did okay for 30,000 miles. I like good tires. I love buying tires. I don't know if it's the smell of the new rubber or the sound of the impact guns, but it's very exciting to me. Which is a good thing because I have a lot of tires around.

Okay gotta do something, then go to Walmart then wind down for work. Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi guys, Just got back from the Old 27 Motor tour- had a great time- posted a big thread with lots of pics in general discussion- check it out. I found out I broke my collar bone but went on tour anyway. It's mostly painless unless I move it wrong. Getting better all the time. I brought the Olds into new shop and got it all ready for the tour. It did good- no troubles. So the Olds is the first job in the new shop as it should be..

Greg those are awesome pictures. Really looked like a good time. But no Corvairs. I love, love that black Chrysler. Maybe next year if you need a porter I'll be available.

Are those the original rotors on your Cutlass? Looks like the center groove is there.

Got the trans filter done in the dogmobile. Not a fun job laying on your back getting ATF dripped in your face. Eh, it's done for another 8 months.

Not gonna make the pull apart today. Gotta clean up, then go to Walmart and that will be it. Maybe some afternoon this week.

Break is over. Back at it.

The NW quadrant of the tropical low moving up the Atlantic coast (~350 miles from me) came up quickly while playing golf bringing w/ it an additional 20 mph breeze gusting to 35 mph during the last six holes. Not as much humidity as it is mixing with the lower portion of the Canadian high but bringing enough wind & moisture off the Atlantic to make it not quite fall temperatures. This tropical low has >80% tropical storm formation probability w/in the next several days & there's Dorian (named storm) brewing in the Antilles which might make the Atlantic coast next weekend or middle of next week.

Mike, those rotors have been on the car since I got it in 94. Maybe they are originals. Do the replacements not have the grooves? Yes the black Chrysler is sweet. I've gotten to know the owner well. That is original paint!!

No problem guys. I was about to leave the show, when my buddies son showed up from the east side of the state. So, I went through it again talking about "for sale" cars and one car that was listed on FB by a well know Olds guy over on the East coast, that a Lansing, Mi. guy bought, and displayed there. A lot of Hurst Olds. The '68 H/O convert. has me stumped, as it has more black on the hood, is a 'vert, and has a 4 speed. I think that it is a clone, but I don't know for sure. i thought that Demmer had the only surviving four speed car, and was unaware of any '68 H/O convertibles being built. That Pierce Arrow wasn't part of the display, but was off from the show area by a hundred feet. So I walked over and took a couple of pics of it as well. They had a reported 200 hundred cars show up, small by the Gilmore's standards, but not bad for a first time event. I hope that it will be re occurring, and build up in the future.

Hi everyone.

Dan great pictures. Was the Barracuda there because it was a Hurst?

Slow going today. Still wasn't asleep by 11 last night so no overtime for me. Slow guys working the machinery and the lead wonders why we are behind. Eh, nothing I can do about it. I'll try for early tomorrow.

Cool today. Don't think it's even 80. Overcast, too, which helps. Should be a good turnout for Summit tonight, won't be stifling hot so people can come and sit out.

Jamesbo what did you end up doing about your fuel pump? Is that truck a big block?

Got a couple errands to run before the cruise in. I'll try to get back early to get to bed. I'm really starting to miss my midnights. See ya's.

Mike, I mis diagnosed de problem. It wasn't the fuel pump

Yes, It's a big block but it's approaching 300 K miles, It needs some serious looking after but it is still limping along [ most of the time]

Played like a goat today

Dan, looks like a nice turn out. I hope I can go next year if it doesn't conflict w/ US27, or is there going to be another Olds show next year? I hope so. Was there a good swap meet?
