Well I sure hope I'll be ok then , because I sniffed enough of that silica dust about 7yrs ago when I was sandblasting the front end parts on my 72 CS.

There was no warning on the bag that I could see about any ailment you could get from using it .

Can you say lawsuit ?

After doing a little research on it , it seems to mainly be a occupational hazard where someone worked with it on a daily basis for an extended period of time . I'm not going to take any chances though . I will take better care , even with the new media they offer , there is still a risk i'm sure . When I did use it , the cabinet I made had fans in it , drawing the majority of it into the duct hose leading to the exhaust fan , but you still got some in your lungs and nose .

Almost Friday.

Baseball is on so I can't watch Seinfeld. Hm, Seinfeld on baseball. There was the one time Kramer saw Joe DiMagio in Dinky Donuts. And then Kramer went to baseball fantasy camp and punched Mickey Mantle in the face. And of course George worked for the New York Yankees.

Beautiful day today. Got up to about 71, sun was out every time the dogs woke me up. Supposed to be just like this through at least Wednesday next week.

Question for those of us above the border. Does it cost extra to call Canada from the US? I have a few people I need to get ahold of and I'd rather talk to them on the phone instead of send an email. But I don't want Verizon to charge me 8 bucks a minute. Any ideas?

That dust bit sound awful. Perhaps you could stick to walnut shells.

So Bryan, after you pee in a cup at the clinic do they give you a waffle and hash browns?

Time to get ready for work. Everyone have a good night and great weekend.

They would run me out of the clinic for sure ..... Everyone has been staying away from me at work , because of my gas lately . I'm not sure if it's because of my cold or what , but I can't stand myself lately

Mike - I wish I could get something for wasting my gas driving over to the clinic , so some lady can give me a dirty look and hand me a cup . It turns out that no one said anything to me today about it .... just the guys giving me a hard time with comments like ..... Hey , load this on the truck for me ok ?

Hmmm,
Just got in from the garage and if I had a picture of my face it would look just like a coal miner. Not being silly - I took a shower before I came on here, so I smell nice now and am wearing clean undies in case I need to go to the hospital! My hands are as clean as I can get them for now - but I suspect I'll prolly have to wash them with paint thinner. Wore glove on one hand and not the other. Smart as a refrigerator. Going to make some turkey sandwiches and soup shortly. Feeling a little tired and hungry.

Jim, heavy ice is the opposite of keen ice. Ok, in simple terms 'heavy' ice means the rock needs to be swept really hard - more than average to maintain its momentum and could end up being hogged anyway. When the ice is 'keen' you could sneeze at it and it will glide for 10 ft. In between is normal ice. Then, just to spice things up the ice makers will adjust the blade on the scraper to determine how much swing (or curl) they want on a sheet. A good sheet of ice will curl about 4 - 5 feet on a draw. For upweight shots such as peel or normal weight, the swing will not be as noticeable. You also need to know which 'handle' suits your throw best - out turn or in turn. Kind of like driving. But if you put a 'lazy' handle on the rock it will curl a ton or worse - it could pick or change handles and go the wrong way. Probably lost you after the first sentence huh? It's a sport that is in a constant state of flux. Ice conditions change with the amount of humidity in the air, how many people are on adjacent sheets, How many shots have gone in the same glide path etc. I love curling.

I'm still working on the car and thread. Got a fair bit done today but haven't prepared the pics yet. Might just update with text. Glad you're enjoying it. I have fun doing the project and posting the results. Hope it can help someone else in the future with all the pics.

John, I really appreciate your concern and no, you don't need part 2.

I think the biggest problem is I need to blast at 90-100 PSI. Ha ha, one of the reasons I bought my new 60 gallon compressor! Higher air delivery pressurizes the cabinet and there's not good enough sealing on the top to keep the pressure vented to the filter. So it comes up through the top directly into the area I was standing. I was not happy with the potential health risk this caused. So, I've drained all the media and vacuumed the cabinet clean. Then blew it out with compressed air. I'm returning it tomorrow - it's all loaded up in the car. I will replace it with a new one that has a side load door and better filter system. Trust me when I say the last thing in the world I want is to sponsor my own demise.

I know I've been keeping my messages short lately.

I've been under the weather this week, and after spending all day coding and not feeling the best, I guess spending time in front of a computer at home isn't a high priority.

Allan, that sounds more complicated than oil on bowling lanes. I'm not quite at the level that it makes a huge difference to how I play, but sometimes I can notice some nights my ball curves more and others it is almost dead straight. And congratulations on the 10 000 posts.

Mike, I think you'll need to check with your carrier.

Hope everyone is doing well. And luckily tomorrow is TGIF!

Well .... After saying what I did about my wife , I need to apologize to her and you people for bringing this up here . I'm not going to say anything more on here , for this is not the place for it . I should have seen deeper then what's on the surface with what she is going through with her parents , and I should of thought of that before I reacted . I need to put my pride aside and help her the best way I know how at her time of need ....again I'm sorry . Now back to the regular scheduled programing

Oh ..... Allan good idea on the blast cabinet . I'm also going to take more drastic measures to keep the dust levels down myself . I don't need to sponsor my demise either !

Happy Friday all.

Bryan, Good on you for your latest decision with the fam. I hope you all work thru the troubles waters.

Paul, sorry, you're feeling poor. Hope your bowling is going well, I've hit the next level, as my average has increased 18 pins in 8 weeks. So far we are still tied for first place. A guy on another team with a 179 average bowled a 300 on Weds. Thats always fun to watch.

Allan, Sure sounds technical. Paul brought up bowling, and I agree. I also have done some Ice sports and altho its not near as complicated, I do understand how ice can have different characteristics. We used terms like hard, soft, old etc. and had a different riding technique and machine prep for each condition. Hope the new cabinet does what you need. I need to get the cabinet I have at the shop back to my buddy so I have a place to put the new computer cart.

Mike, Sounds like you need that screen in a screen set up on TV. That way you could eat your cake.

John, You are spot on. My bride has breathing issues and is not 40 yet. She can 'pass' all of the Asthma tests, but has been put on 'Advair' for her 'Asthma like symptoms'. Too many years of smoking and even more years of hay dust.

Sandy. I'm not sure what year you have or what engine you have. Here is a pic of a 3.5 DOHC motor with the throttlebody circled. The TPS will be directly opposite of where the throttle cables attach. It's funny, when I googled 'Underhood Oldsmobile intrigue' a Pic Of Ken and his 442 came up.

Scot. Happy B-day to the next in line .

Have a great Friday all.

Bryan, I'm glad you seem to be taking the high road and making it work.... that's a tough decision and one I'm predicting you'll look back on with joy.

You're right about the occupational hazard of blasting....it is a matter of degree.... but remember that those guys who do sandblasting for a living - in the fabrication yards and bridge crews - have pressurized air systems where they're really not supposed to be gettting any dust in their lungs at all... and they still get silicosis in the long rin. The lungs just can't deal with it.

Oh, and as far as your other problem lately, try eating a lot of sweet potatoes, some whole cloves of garlic, and maybe a can or two of pork & beans... you could start your own natural gas company with not a bit of fracking....

Allan, sounds as if you're doing the right thing... ! I hate Nanny duties... Kudos.

Clint, I'm sorry to hear that. Respiratory therapy is now its own discipline in hospitals, and even some nursing homes. I guess folks are living longer with the ailments now, but it's a heart-rending thing to have to see in a loved one as they get older. It never gets any better... completely irreversible.

Mike, you should know that making a post about Seinfeld is like dangling a carrot in front of a mule.... I can't resist...

Yeah, Seinfeld and baseball. You know, one thing that amazes me is that Derek Jeter of the Yankees made his cameo appearance on "The Abstinence" episode 16 years ago, and he's still playing with the Yankees....

Watched The Puerto Rican Day last night... I have to say, it's one of my least favorite episodes of all... it was supposed to be a big "semi" finale before the real "finale." But I found it a bit tedious, with a few funny moments. After its initial run in '98, NBC pulled it from syndication b/c of the controversy of Kramer "burning" the Puerto Rican flag.... a complete tempest in a pot of tea. I actually never recall seeing it in syndication to this day.... although I'm not sure whether it's back in circulation.

Y'all have a great Fry-Day and weekend; my better half is driving home from N. GA today... she has a glorious day to do it. It was 50* at the plantation this morning w/ 0% chance of rain; nice and dry, low humidity. But it's supposed to get back up around 80 today again.... I'll take it.

Happy Friday all.

Pretty but cold this morning. The lake is steaming like the moat around a haunted castle. Gonna be windy this afternoon but only for a little while.

Clint what I meant was baseball was on in place of Seinfeld. I haven't watched baseball since Commisky Park got knocked down and turned into a parking lot.

Paul sorry you feel bad. Maybe the weekend will help you perk up.

Bryan it's easy to look past someone else's issues. You guys need to get away, to a neutral place and have a nice long pow wow. Get everything out on the table and talk about it, non-confrontationally. I got that word from Dr. Drew.

Allan please don't demise. I should take a picture of the blasting cabinets we have at work. Maybe you'd like to get one of them. Did you get the snow you were promised?

Ah time for bed. One more then another fun filled weekend. Gonna go to the old junkyard where the trees are growing up through the middle of the cars. Cars sunk a foot into the mud. Fun stuff. He's only there on Saturdays. I'd love to take that place over from him some day but I'm afraid I wouldn't want to sell anything.

Okay everyone have a great day.

John I've only seen that Puerto Rican one a couple times. It almost seemed like towards the end the writers were running out of ideas. I think the funniest part of that episode was at the end when Jerry's car was in the stairwell and he clicks the fob and the lights blink. Ya Kramer wasn't burning the flag on purpose but how would anyone here feel if the American Flag was burned "accidentally."

I was disappointed in the finale when it was first run, but after seeing it a few times I like it better, and realize how brilliant it was. Loved when Poppy criticized the soup and the Soup **** took it back from him.

Great, now I won't be able to sleep because I'll be thinking about Seinfeld!

Morning All!

A cool 48 degrees here this morning, cloudy. But a nice morning. Supposed to have rain on and off today tonight and into tomorrow. I don't know about the Stow Glen Show tomorrow. Have to wait and see I guess. We got poured on 3 times this summer, I'm not ending the season getting poured on one last time.....

I get to go have breakfast with my friend Terry from Arizona in the morning! I can't wait to see her. You know I want to stow away in her suitcase and go back with her......

Nicoles friend Nick from California is here. He came in this morning at 6:30. She drove over to Cleveland Hopkins to pick him up. She's a better one than me..... she drives to Cleveland like it's nothing. Me, that traffic scares the heck out of me! I don't go to Cleveland. Of course she's adventureous... I found that out when she drove the car to Virginia........ won't go there!! Nick is here for a week. Gonna stay at her place, of course. We're gonna go to some haunted houses and attractions while he's here. I think they are going to go to Cedar Point on Sunday.

Hot in here - I turned on the AC yesterday when the guys went to lunch. Cooled it off to a bearable 76 degrees. Of course they turned on the heaters when they came back. Steve has his blastin this morning, so does Clay. Brian already turned the thermostat down.... I brought shorts and a tank top in so I can change if need be. Right now capris are rolled up....

Clint.... thanks for the pic. Looks like my engine. She's a 2001.

Bryan.... hope all works out for you.

I don't like the sounds of that dust. It's like Larry - he's been breathing coolant from the grinding machines all these years... you know it's in his lungs and all the guys' lungs. Who knows what long term effects will be...

Well you all have a great Friday!!

Mawn'in all

A bit chili dis mawn'in but spose to warm up.

Allan, Tanks fer de explanation. I'm sorry I have no idear WTF you're talk'in 'bout.

My blast cabinet leaks 'round de edges of the lid too. Dat's why I never use it

Baseball, I was drug up watch'in the Saturday afternoon Game of the Week with Peewee Reese and Dizzy Dean. "He slud into third" "Dat ball realy bonked him." Ever since den it's been down hill. I mean if ya don't sing "The Wabash cannon ball" during the 7th inning strch, WTH is baseball?

TV sitcoms. IMHO the end of the Bob Newhart show when he woke up from a dream wit Susanne Pleshette was the cleaverest thing I've ever seen on TV

Good point.

You got a point there, Mike. But you have to admit, we're all a bit oversensitized. If you knew Kramer, you knew Seinfeld, and you actually watched the episode, I don't care what kind of flag it was... it was a joke. Jerry (part of the thing about "knowing" him") dishes it out equally to EVERYBODY.... including Jews (him and Larry and Jason, and even partly Julia) and CATHOLICS (that's me)... I take the sacraments as seriously as anybody... really... but when I saw Jerry walk into the confessional and sit down on the kneeler and knock on the priest's window, I 'bout split my side... (OK, no religion....)

Thing is, when those protests about the flag were going on, the organizer admitted he had never even seen the episode.... it was all just part of his agenda.

And yeah, that was a hoot how he activated the alarm on the Saab as they were leaving .... (The Season 9 DVDs have clips of the car being hoisted by a crane to drop it into that little corner for that scene.)

Sorry if I disrupted your drowsiness, Mike.... maybe try to catch an episode of According to Jim.

Hasta luego, amigos....

Good Morning ....

I'm glad I feel better today . I was getting a bit cold and achy last night at work , and couldn't wait to get home , to which I ate a little food and went right to bed . I have tomatoes coming out my ears .... I followed the advice on putting them in a cardboard box with newspaper , and they are all ripening at once .

Clint - Ha Ha I almost missed that one , and though you were serious until I read the last part ... I gotta take the family bowling one of these days . I have not bowled myself in over 20yrs . lol I remember back then I use to whip a 11lb ball down the lane , and get some incredible pin action . That was the only way I could do anything worth while when it came to bowling . ( of course not very accurate though ) Me and my friend went bowling one saturday morning with his family that were all in leagues .... I ended up bowling a 600 series almost , with my high game at 226 . I beat everyone of them in every game that we bowled , and my friend could not stop laughing . They all threw a curve ball , and here I had an 11lb ball and threw a straight ball . I was like the Krammer of bowling that day .

I think I'll skip on the advice about eating the garlic and pork and beans .... I don't think my butt could take it !

Good Mawning Friday Folks,

Going to head out shortly to get the new sandblast cabinet and return that 20gallon Snap on compressor to Costco. Just have to drain the oil from it first. On the way home I'll pick up my rear CAs and bushing press.

Jamesbo - Ah no I confoosed ya. Y'all aren't usta winter sports. Figger it this way - some crazy peeps PAY ta go falls down on de ice, an wing deze hokey **** 40lb rocks on a frozen shuffleboard. Win er lose ya gets ta drinks beer after. Kinda like a win/win izn'tit? I tried sealin de blast cabinet wit tape in de hopes it wood werk but it wuz liek a bad crap game - no dice. Wunder why dey maksum dat way? Could be fer folks with small CFM copressors?

Mike - Sure, I bet I know what they look like. I've seen industrial 13 ton monsters before. And the snow? It's holding off till Sat. Temps today around 50 with a bit o wind. After that I'll send you pics of our Great White North.

Clint - That prolly came up because Ken has an Intrigue - same color as the one you posted BTW. It was his moms car. Engine was hatched and he bought a replacement one for cheap and installed it. Still a DD. Haven't talked to him for a while. I checked his profile and the last time he was on was this mawnin at 7:57. Maybe he's just lurking in the background? Who knows. HEY KEN!!! Come out and play ok?

And seriously, I hope your Mrs. is ok. Hay dust is just as bad - I remembers it well.

Paul - Hope your work load lightens up and you feel better. I used to bowl 5 pin. Could do a reasonable hook shot but the ball mostly had a mind of its own. Not exaggerating a bit, I haven't bowled in over 56 years.

Bryan - you and Clint should take those (ahem) pearls of wisdom to the Humor du jour thread. BTW swallowing whole garlic cloves will not adversely affect your odor and it will help ward off colds. It's only when you cut or crush them that the powerful odor is exuded. Hope you weren't smoking when those bombs went off.

So looking at Google Images, it looks like this sensor is a big part! I was thinking it was like a plug in clip thingy or something??

I'm not sure about the Intrigue , but my 93 Buick has an array of sensors with the MAF being the biggest one I believe ..... Just replace them all !

Why? That's just a lot of $$$ for parts that may be perfectly good. MAF sensors can easily be cleaned by spraying them with electrical contact cleaner - they're just 2 wires. FWIW, I'd still pop the entire TB and look at the amount of carbon on the throttle plate. If it's heavily encrusted it needs to be cleaned with TB cleaner. Extra deposits on the throttle plate will cause the TPS to send the PCM a bad signal but it doesn't mean the TPS is bad.

Start with cleaning the IAC pintle and seat. THEN clean the throttle plate until it has free movement and total closure on the venturi it sits in, reinstall TB, hook up connectors and see what happens. I'm NOT a big fan of throwing money away on all new parts in the hopes that the problem will just go away. Maybe Clint can jump in here and suggest something?

Oh, and one other thing. The IAC may need to be reset. You do that by turning the key to Run for 20 seconds, then off for 10. Then start engine as normal and the IAC will work fine. Test it by either turning on a high draw option and look at the tach. Soon as the option is on you should see a bump up in the tach. When you turn off the option the rpm's will drop to normal (around 700 - 750 in drive/800 in park)

I was just joking with her Allan when I said that . I probably need to clean my Throttle Body also . I'm sure it's dirty , and the car runs a bit rough at idle .

Evening everyone.

I'm a little late with the weekend, I'll be turned loose tomorrow morning.

You know John, I'd like to be over sensitive some time. I'd like to be offended at everything and just fly off the handle over nothing. It seems like there are plenty of people around me that do that and it looks like fun. Especially if it gets me my way. It would be quite the departure from my usual self; I get walked on a lot. In fact, the rare times that I do stand up for myself people get mad, because I dare not let them push me around. "I'm mad at you only because you're mad at me."

Jamesbo I don't know what hot water cornbread is, either. And might I go so far as to say aside from eating at Cracker Barrel, all the cornbread I've eaten comes out of a box(gasp!).

Sandy how was your breakfast? I want to go to Arizona, too. In fact I was on the list to transfer to Sky Harbor airport in Phoenix. But then during one of the layoffs they said if you're on a list to transfer and your name comes up and you don't go immediately, you're fired. So I took my name off the list. There's no way I could get this place packed up in an instant, plus at the time I had a very geriatric dog that wouldn't have appreciated the commotion.

Allan how is your friend that had heart trouble a few months ago?

Well time to get moving. The dogs need to go out and I need to get to work. Might bring the black truck home this weekend, I could use it for moving a few things around. I also need to go to the old junkyard tomorrow and see if he still has that 65 Vista rusting quietly in the trees.

So happy weekend everyone. Be safe and have a great time doing whatever.

Good Saturday Mawnin All

Well I had to replace the radiator on the Xterra yesterday. Kinda had to find the quickest one I could, instead of the better deal on fleapay Which was twice the amount that I could of payed Free shipping and price on fleapay was $62.50, Autozone had the only one in stock and it was $135.00 + tax Well I get the "gold" priced radiator and commenced to tearing into the Xterra. About the time I was ready to start draining the coolant, I was going to use the cardboard from the big box from the new radiator under the catch pan and noticed that the radiator was totally wrong for my application. Well since I was the one that located the part and part #, I wasn't mad and figured it was my mistake. Longer story shorter, come to find out the manufacturer put the wrong radiator in the "right " box. Inside the box was a radiator with a completely different part #. UGH! So now I had to button the Xterra back up, put the wrong radiator back in it's box, get cleaned up so I can call the parts house and explain my dilemma to see if they could find a "right" radiator in the box ASAP. Well they found one in North Warner Robins about 25 miles away, so off I went to swap it out. Needless to say the install was a snap and everything is good. One good thing about the Xterra is that the bottom of the fan shroud has a piece that unsnaps so you can pull it off and slide the shroud out without removing the fan

Hot water cronbread is exactly what the doctor ordered when it's stew weather Yummy!

Well I think my bro-in-law and I are about to go shoot off a few rounds of target practicing and then to M & T meats to stock up on the best meat in the country Yall have a wondermous day, ya hear?

Good Morning ....

I still feel like crap , but at least I'm not achy feeling anymore like I was the other night , and I don't have a soar throat anymore .... After I slug down a bunch of coffee I'm going to go and blast my fender before it gets any colder outside . This whole time I was worrying about the water that was plugging the sandblaster , and I had two water traps for my air compressor lines that I found while cleaning my car parts up at my moms ... along with some other parts I was looking for . I also found all the trim for my 72 CS except for one piece . I will have to search some more for it . Well , I have to get out of here , because my family is annoying me , because they wont shut up ! Did you ever have this problem ?

I'm now being over run with ripe tomatoes , and I don't know what to do with them all ..... Hellllp !

Ya can peel and freeze ripe mater fer de future. jes cut a shallow x on de bottom dunk dem in boiling warer fer a sec, lift em out wit a slotted spoon and dunk em in ice water. Skin peels right off.

Mike, You'd starve to death in Arizona, dare ain't many Awful houses out dare. I checked.
If it were me, I make a mater pie er two, sum stewed okra and maters, sum spagetti sauce and use em all up

Scot, Come on up, I've got enough stew an hoe cakes to feed de cast of Sparticus.

Mawnin Y'all
this is what I woke up to this mawnin. S'posed to be another 3" on the way and weeks avg temp (shudder) forecast for 30° or colder. Overnight lows could reach 14° (yuck). Hee hee hee, just leave the maters out in the cold and they will be compost for the next year..

Scot - sounds like ya got things under control. I hate when they put the wrong part in the right box. Orrr, do the put the right part in the wrong box??? Never could get anyone to fess up to that. Yup, I see a fair number of innovations in technology that are leaning to the clip in system. Just be careful that the plastic holding it doesn't fail, then you need the whole friggin mounting system. Either that or a jar of JB Weld.

Jamesbo - Y'all put sumothat cornbread in the mail fur me? By de time it gits here it will prolly be fur bread tho. Might go good with sum fresh roadkill. Whut? de supermodel toks back??? Unbelievable.

Bryan - the water trap needs to be at least 15' from the compressor to work right.

Mike - You are a good man to remember Ted! He is doing well; in fact he just got back from a trip to Mexico early this morning. No more golfing this year for him, so he's starting his curling season too. (see, us curlers stick together) And, FWIW, I'm very glad that you are a reasonable man and don't get easily offended. That's a solid good feature others could definitely learn to emulate.

Getting towards noon local time, so best get at it.

Headed out today with my bro 'n his wife, n' my sister to do a fall color tour, and get some apples etc. The rain was supossed to be out of the area by the am, 1:00pm and we were driving in the rain! Hmmm, another forecast gone astray. Well it finally let up and I picked up 205 lb. pumpkin and a mix of apples for making a pie. I'll probably carve the pumpkin tomorrow night.

Happy weekend everyone.

Great morning. I got out of work around 6 this morning, and stopped at Awful house on the way home. Don't do that very often. Got home and took care of the dogs, then headed out to the junkyard. Had a nice visit with the guy that owns the place. No Vista Cruiser, though, that one got hauled off years ago because it had rusted into oblivion.

Stopped at Mickey D's on the way home, did a couple little things, then felt my brain go into auto shutdown. Had a nice nap until about 6. I think I'll be back in bed early tonight as well.

Dan a 205lb pumpkin? That's got to be a couple feet across. All the innards that come out would make quite a pie.

Allan hope the snow misses you. A couple years ago Atlanta got what, about a foot of snow one night, and it shut the whole metropolitan area down for a week. No foolin'.

Jamesbo there's no worry about me starving to death. Kinda don't think so. If I had tomatoes I'd put them in a box. Of course I don't really like tomatoes so I could throw them at someone/thing.

Bryan hope you're feeling better this evening. Yes my family has annoyed me in the past. You get past it.

Brought the black truck home from work this morning. What a great vehicle to drive. It sure drinks the gas, though. Obviously not a daily driver with today's prices.

Scot easily repaired vehicles are a pleasure to work on, and a rarity these days. That is after you get the right parts. I used to work with a guy at an auto parts store that would swap carbs and stuff from box to box, and then buy the cheep box with the expensive part that he had swapped in and carefully retaped.

Think I'll start the winding down process for the evening. I used to be able to stay up for days on end, now, not so much. Have a great evening all.

Good Evening Everyone.

Feeling better, so that's a good start.

Today was supposed to be a car show at a local flying club air strip, but it was cancelled a couple of days ago due to a forecast of rain all weekend. Well, today was a dry, cloudy day. Tomorrow is going to be a fall cruise, so I hope the weather holds for it.

Clint, I haven't bowled for about 3 weeks. Monday should be interesting. My average just doesn't seem to change much. It has only varied a couple of pins over a couple of years.

Allan, my work load isn't bad, just long day including the commute. I actually bowl 10-pin. I've tried 5-pin, but I end up pitching it, since it is so much lighter that my 13lbs 10-pin ball. And quit it with all those frozen rain pics already.

Ken - zat mean the next time we hear from ya is going to be May???

Clint - you go man! Eggin poor Mike on like that.

Paul- a 13 lb ball? Yikes! Sounds like it would rip your wrist apart if your fingers ever got stuck. Ok, I won't post the snow pics, I'll just send it your way....should be there in about 2 days?

Dan - I'm with Mike. What the heck are you gonna do with a 205 lb pumpkin? Hmmm, punkin and eggs, punkin bread, punkin pie, punkin instead of tatoes. After de first 3 days I think it would be barf city for me. I do like roasted punkin seeds though.

Mike - Yer killin me. Don't stop at the Awful House all that often?? ha ha ha ha. Glad to see you're in fine form. I used to be able to stay up long hours too. I knows what it feels like to get 'older' and need more sleep. This working on the car tuckers me out something fierce. Bedtime will prolly be around 9:30 (local time).

Everyone have a great evening! May the Good Lord Bless you all!

Like Sands Through The Hourglass

Good Evening ....

I had fun blasting away for a couple of hours today and learned one thing .... Being congested from a cold has it's benefits if you get any dust in your nose ( even though I doubled up on my mask protection , and I'm outside ) I got very little dust through my heavy duty mask system I used , but of course a little got through . My congestion stopped anything from getting past my nose to my lungs though , not to mention the steam made from having that mask tight on my face broke all the congestion up . I paid for my new/old Fender brace , and it should be shipping to me in a couple of days ....

Clint - That seems like a decent deal for three cars

Mike - I think your going to turn into a Awful house if you keep eating there .

Allan - I agree . Pumpkin seeds are good , but you can't eat to many at once , and if you do chew them up good , lol .

Jamesbo - I've been putting tomatoes on everything I can think of . I especially like them in spaghetti . It really spruces up the jar sauce .

Dan - That's one heck of a pumpkin ! They had one on the internet today that was almost 2000LBS

Good morning everyone.

Man did I sleep good. Hit the sack about 930 and just got up about a half hour ago. Yes the dogs woke me up during the night. I expected that. This morning I feel all bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Thanks Clint I'll let you know when I get them to my house!

Howdy Ken! That sounds like an awesome ride.

Bryan I will not turn into an Awful house! Although yellow is a good color on me.

Now Allan if I had a good place to work on cars I probably wouldn't sleep for a week. I'm so behind on things. Got to use the sand blaster machine at work the other day. Found out on one of the rims the hole for the valve stem was rusted and deformed. But I got the other wheel nice and clean. So now I have to scrounge around to find another rim that I can use, I hope I have one.

Paul I work my *** off bowling just to get 100. My uncle can bowl a perfect game. How's the Cutlass?

Cold in here this morning. And only 45 outside. Time to hit the showers and then head to Awful house. My tumbly is rumbly.

Good Sunday Mawnin All

It's a cool 43* this mawnin but it will fair up nicely. The Mossy Creek Festival is in town, well right in my back yard actually. http://www.mossycreekfestival.com/ An every time it comes to town, there are tons of yard sales everywhere

Well we got in a few good hours of target shooting yesterday. Bad thing is the GA DNR passed a new rule about a recreation pass, so in other words if I go fishing and take the wife (she reads and does not fish) then she still has to have this pass Just more $ and less bang for the buck IMO Anywho luckily I looked the range up before making the trek and that's where I learned it would cost $6 ea for a three day pass or $12.50 for a small group three day pass

Well after that we went to M & T meats and stocked up I can't believe their prices, you would think that with the best meat market this side of the Mississippi that their prices would be outrageous. I ain't complainin by no means

Well yall have a great Sunday and enjoy the rest of the weekend

Good morning everyone

For some bizarre reason Ma Nature is being a sadistic bitch here. Everywhere else it's a reasonable 50 - 60+. This morning it was 25 and the daytime high is supposed to be 32. She's planning to stay in AB for the next week. Oh joy....

Jamesbo - Super Snakes are nice machines even if you're not a blue oval fan.

Scot - So tell me what recreational sport doesn't have a money grab policy? Sounds like you got a great deal on the meat. What time is the BBQ?

Mike - You're starting to sound like Pooh Bear - "My tumbly is rumbly"...
