I've been lucky enough to design my second logo for a drag strip.

These are first pass...
I found this font I really like...a touch nostalgia, a touch hot rod.
I modified it a bit and would love to hear thoughts.
The last one. Lose the shifter, it's too kitsch. Less is more with logos. Just truncate both L's at the same spot.
All the round ones are no good because the first L is not an L, it's an angle in the background. I know what you're trying to do with it, but it can't go all the way to the top. You need to be able to see the top of an L. Now, the leg can go the whole way to the end of the word, but probably not further.
The long L is the best part of the logo, especially with both L's going red and black. Only thing I could think of is them going black and white like checkered flag pattern. The fire one (next to the bottom) is cool, but drop the DRAGWAY down lower and put the L leg back in.
