My 8 1/2 year old Golden passed yesterday.

Yesterday my 8 1/2 year old golden passed due to lymphoma. A true baby, she followed us through the house endlessly, loved riding in the 442 and our daily rides as well. She loved swimming in the lake at the cottage. We will always have her in our hearts 💕 but now it is up to our 2 year old golden to keep us entertained, exercised and accepting of our love.

Sorry for your loss. The one thing that truly sucks about having a pet and never gets any easier.

Yes, Saffron was our second golden, both had cancer. You are correct, it doesn't get easier.
Thank you for you kind words.

Sorry for your loss. I understand. I lost my 18-year-old lab a few years ago and my 12-year-old lab last year. It's like losing a family member. After all, we are the only family that they have. I still have my 16-year-old pit bull.

That's too early for a good dog.

Sympathy. We just went through the same thing last month with our own Golden, Gary, so I know how hard it hits. We miss him, and his sister Stacy still wanders around the house looking for him sometimes.

Goldens are the best dogs, but they sure get cancer a lot. We've had ten of them over the last 30 years and lost four to cancer.

All I can say is, it never gets easier, but it will get better.

Thank you all. Our pets, no matter what they are, put up with us unconditionally. Our highs, our lows they love us no matter what We humans should learn from them.

Saffron has the white face, Levi is the young one attached to her.

I did! Here it is again! There's actually two of them. Glad I made them that's for sure. The first one is with a stout 350 w/ a Muncie M20. The second is with a 455 with tons of go fast goodies and a 5 speed Tremec.

I am so sorry for your loss of your pup! There is infinite truth in why they're called "man's best friend". Our 2 English Bulldogs, Monty and Maggie, are a never ending source of love and amusement. I can't imagine a day without them by our side.

Sorry for your loss. It hurts like hell. My wife and I lost out 9 year old Golden about three years ago to cancer. We had her put down because we were not going to let her suffer. Golden are the greatest dogs in my opinion. If you are looking for a watch dog, they are not your dog. They love everybody and are the greatest dogs in the world with children. Our dog before Lucy was a stray that I rescued that I believe was a Golden Collie mix. She was incredible and also developed cancer. She was the most beautiful dog I have ever seen. We had them both cremated and have their ashes.

My condolences. Truly a sad day when you have to say goodbye to one of your family members.

Been there many times, it’s never easy.

Unfortunately, the day will come all too soon when I have to be in that situation again.
