“Driving by myself, I didn’t need one of those big cars anymore.” he said. “I wanted a sportscar.”

I guess the age of a man doesn't matter. He can always be a kid at heart.

Thumbs up

Good 4 him! I probably won't last that long, what with my lifestyle, but if I do, that's definitely the way to do it!

@ Jamesbo: ...or: I may be getting older, but I REFUSE to grow up!

Well I have been debating this in my head for some time and am thinking it's cool that someone 101 bought a performance auto cause he wanted one but logically I know that the car will never be used close to what it should be. Like he said he is afraid of getting caught going over 50 cause they might take his liscence away I hope I can still drive at 100 but doubt I will live that long.I think I will live to 65 + 1 day Around here we have a lot of older people who are frustrating to get behind cause they do at least 10km below the speed limit and some even slower. The only time I drive under the speed limit is when I drive the tractor on the road and then I will pull over when there are cars behind me and there is a safe place to pull off the road.

I bet Virgil is like the rest of us old pharts, A little hp makes me feel younger. All I need is the entrance ramp to the freeway and I feel like a kid again.

That Camaro is not small at all. Parked next to a new Vette it's actually bigger and wider and longer. You actually almost lay down in the seat and this new Camaro has about 27 blind spots because of the Body. Fare well and a do to you fair spanish ladys......Fare well and a do to you ladys of spain.....Haa-Haaa-waiting for the accident report to come in.

Virgil aside......I can't believe how cheap cars are in the States. $38,000 for a brand new 426hp Camaro !!!!! If we could get them down here they'd set us back around $60k - $70k I reckon. Bloke down the road bought in one of those new Bullet Style Mustangs a month or so ago...rhd....and it cost him around $110,000. What are they worth over there? You are so lucky when it comes to being able to access great cars at reasonable prices.

I had the Colorado in to the GM dealer for it's regular warrenty service yesterday and they have a 2010 Camaro in the showroom so I looked it over good. This one was a 6 cylinder and got 42mpg on the hwy. I was talking to the guy who sold my dad the truck and he said you could get a 6.2 ltr V8 with a 6 speed manual or 7 speed auto. It was around 44,000 but I don't think this was the same one virgil bought. Those are a limited edition and would probably run you another 10,000 up here. They had a special edition Silverado 2500 HD supercab truck if you had an extra 66,995 lying around. When I asked him about it he said they would take off 9,500. No thanks but it was a nice truck , completely loaded.

That's awesome. Wouldn't it been cool to see the look on the salesperson's face when he walked up to him and said, " I want this one"

Good for him, it'll keep him young.
