Make a wish foundation

Hi, I am not one to air my personal laundry on Classic Olds or to anyone for that matter. Matter of fact Steve Minore is the only person who knows the whole situation outside of family. Please read, you will understand why I am sharing this about my daughter and this great organization.

My daughter was recently notified of receiving Make A Wish grant. To be considered you must have a long term illness or be terminally ill. Upon the diagnosis the treating Physician or Physicians must submit a report to the foundation to validate the illness.

My daughter Sophia was born losing a little over 80% of her small intestine. Without exaggeration she was not supposed to live, she survived the critical first operation less than a month old. From there Boston’s Children Hospital took over and deemed her the miracle baby due to the initial bleak prognosis and lastly ultimately saved her.

Fast forward to now, when she found out she received the grant her first statement (after a scream of joy) was how I can give back in her own little words to the rep that was at our house. Her concern was to make it possible for another child to be a recipient. The representative from the Ct. Branch of Make A Wish Foundation was so taken back by her statement she chose her to be Ct’s Make A Wish Foundation rep for the Macy’s Believe Campaign. Basically she will be at Macy’s to help raise money for future grants.

The Macy’s I Believe Campaign is an organization that raises money for Make A Wish Foundation. One of the ways they do is by donating a dollar for every letter written to good ole Santa. My daughter’s role is to get as many letters addressed to Santa.

So finally the punch line for my post, I am asking anyone and everyone to write a letter to Santa. Obviously it can be from children, nephews, nieces or anyone for that matter. The letters can be sent to my address and then we forward them to Macy’s. Please pass this on every letter helps make it possible for a young boy or girl to have their wish come true for an illness they didn’t ask for.

My address is Dean Franco, 32 Shadybrook Road ext,
New Hartford, Ct. 06057. Letters need to be in by December 10th so we can bring them to Macy’s.

Thank you for reading, Dean

Want to give a special ty to Brett for all his efforts
Brian , Mike ,Eddie and more coming in.
Collectively you guys are helping a future grant to a sick child.

Also should have obviously included in first post but they can be emailed .
Also age is irrelevant due to Macy's is "sending them to the north pole".
So email at marmax40@aol.com

example here is my letter:
Dear Santa I have overall done a pretty good job in the last year.
With that being said I wish for a 68 and 69 A bodies to magically appear in my yard.
I also wish if the aforementioned happens that my wife will share in the joy as well as opposed to dismembering me.
thanks Santa

ok a little secret....

Its all about tactics and timing,

When santa delivers your a bodies (not if) you need to go up to thecloset point to blouses dress shoes anything really and say the olds got here same way those dresses did, magic.... almost guarenteed to not get an argument, however you must have ayt least one runnning and idling in the driveway in case you need to beat feet my brothers lol

Just wanted to let everyone know who donated and or sent letters we collectively raised close to 1800.00

What this translates to is that this will cover a child's spending card for their Make A Wish grant.

Collectively you guys have helped make a child's dream come true in the near future !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you again Dean
