Best of luck for a speedy recovery. I'm rooting for you, and I know that everyone else is also. Just take it one day at a time, and a month from now, you will have forgotten all the pain, and be well on to a full recovery. Keep us updated as you regain your strength.

You'll be doing great soon. Just in time for the nice weather. Which I'm sure will happen when someone gets to Punxsutawney and takes care of that groundhog. For good.

Thank you everyone. Things are good. Top left lobe removed It was cancer. No cancer in surrounding tissue and none in the 17 lymph nodes taken. No Chemo or radiation necessary. Very painful operation. Tedd was right a miserable 5 days with the tube in. Also very painful after, but it is becoming less so every day. It hurt to breathe cough laugh and I thought the end of the world was here when I sneezed. Surgery was about an hour longer than expected due to having an unusual lung as they described it, and not being able to use the robot as expected. They had to make another incision and do it manually. Recovery room was over 1 1/2 hour longer than they expected. By this time the poor wife was a mess. She finaly went home. About an hour after being in my room all hell broke loose. They gave me some pain med Diladud? I lost it. I guess cuz all I know was there were about 7-9 people in the room yelling at me and each other. They were telling me to stay with us , Who are you , what is your name where do you live and soforth. I heard my blood count was 5 and blood pressure was 50 over 30. I can't believe they didn't call my wife, but they didn't. Now my heart is not right. I went into fib or something and I was watching the monitor bounce usually around 120 to 154 for a couple of days. I can't wait to get my strength back and move on. But no more cancer. Thank you everyone.

I like that "No More Cancer". That is what we were all wanting to hear. Good luck with the recovery process. Larry

Take it easy, don't be in a hurry. Its going to be hard to breath depending on the humidity. Do your breathing exercises.

Just keep inching along with the therapy, that's the key.I know how it feels to hear the words Cancer free,I went through Robotic Prostate Cancer surgery, after 6 out of 10 biopsies showed cancer. It was marvelous the first test after surgery to Hear the words cancer free. It gives you the encouragement to do whatever therapy they tell you to. Best of luck, we are all still there for you. I saw yesterdays game Thank goodness for the grand slam. Doing pretty good I guess, except for the fact my heart is screwed up now, It was fine before I went in. I think this drug they put me on for the heart is a lazy pill. I don't feel like doing anything. That damn ground hog needs a good butt whoopin. If the weather was nicer I would be getting out a bit more. It will be 3 weeks this thursday and there is a huge difference in the pain from when I got out 2 weeks ago.

According to my wife, I've been on those pills for years.

Glad you're feeling better.

Amiodarone. This drug is messing with me Physically and mentaly. I think I would be better off without it. I see the doc in a week and will ask to get off it. Lots of side effects with the worst being extremley lazy and zero motivation. Not at all normal for me.
