It's about 1/2 mile off 281 on FM 1431. At the Storm's drive-in.

It was perfect weather to get the cars out last nite! Always enjoy swapping stories with Adam and we got to see some new rides and meet different folks; some of who came up from the Austin area. Here's a couple of pics that I took...

When are the Marble falls cruise-in nights?.
It's overdue for my wife and I to take another Texas vacation, and hopefully come face to face with some of you. We have been through there plenty of times, but I only recall stopping to get stuff from Tractor Supply and eating at the Bluebonnet Cafe. Awesome views from the south side of hwy 281!.

Roger.

Good question Roger. I have to wait for David to let me know...
They have a big Dodge dealership in Burnet, Cecil Atkission, where they move the used cars back on the 1st Friday of each month and folks from all around come down. Burnet is 14 mi. North from the Bluebonnet Cafe on 281.

Let us know when ya'll decide to come down, maybe we could
put a run together. They have or had a run to Fredericksburg in
November I think. Went one year, it was pretty cool. Oldsmobiles
exclusively. Lunch, then a cruise to Comfort down some back roads.
We spent most of the day with them then broke off, went back to Fredericksburg for supper at Mamacitas. Very enjoyable.

Hey Roger, be glad to have you anytime you can make it down! As Adam said, for the Marble Falls, Burnet, and north Austin area the first weekend of the month is packed with options... Burnet on Friday nite, MF on Saturday, a huge show in Leander on Sunday are just few of the possibilities. Other recurring monthly dates include the famous Oasis in Austin, classic/rod nite @ MyTFine burgers... and the list goes on. Come whenever you can, tell us what your preferences are, and with Adam's help we can make it happen! Plenty of CO folks live in this general area....

-David

I had to go to San Antonio a short while back for a funeral. So just kinda blew through. I'd love to try and make it one of these weekends

We are on the lucky side with ours, it is a constant level lake, always full.

The lake is across the street from my house. Ours was when they had an old steam power plant, then in the last 5 years all that changed. Now it seems they sell more water out of the Brazos and with the lack of rain the past few years it had dropped tremendously. Then this year we had a very wet spring and all the area lakes filled up. Texas, go figure...
