Junkyard Eye Candy...AZ Rot free style...
So I was at my favorite junkyard a couple of days ago... found some much needed parts for the '65 'lass... thought I would take a couple of photos for all you junkyard junkies out there... Now me being originally from Detroit.. I know you rust belt gents are gonna drool.... Best part? this is just the 60's to mid 80's yard.. there is a 30's to late 50's as well! Anybody ever need a specific part, let me know...

I remember when the Chicago yards used to be that cool. Now everything has been yuppied up and snuffed out.![Frown](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Some doofus always cuts their finger and tries to sue, or the EPA cracks the whip.
Nowadays, they have 1990 and newer stuff, and It's all warehoused and bar coded. You get to sit in an air conditioned office and watch TV next to a few fishtanks while a forklift driver pulls your part from the shelf.

Housekeeping!
Nice Mall
We should all go over there and help them tidy up a little
straighten things up and get their house in order, put things in their proper perspective, sort out the gene pool and then have a margarita or three!!!![Big Grin](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Next time you are visiting the place see if you can find a 1969 full size 88 or 98 or car with front end intact. I need stone shields and they are hard to find since they were plastic and like mine broke a lot.

DVAP is really impressive. I was out there scoping out bodies in Jan as a replacement for mine. Didn't end up finding anything that I could use, but I was mezmerized by the sheer number of cars they have there. They don't just have one or 2 '68 442/Cutlasses to choose from, they have something like 10. And it's like that for most makes, models, and years. A definite stop for anyone visiting the Phoenix area.
They're not cheap, but they definitely have a lot of stuff.

I will check next time out there for you Wolfman... do you want an entire front clip? or just those plastic stone guards? Can you post a pic of what they look like? As for the '46 two door.. that would be at a different yard in Casa Grande... I do not get down that way much.. 1.5 hours south of Phoenix where I am at.. but if I do.. I will look.
