how to search ePay?

I used to use something like this

Olds* cover* -chrome -wheel* -seat valve -gask* -bolt*

to find valve covers for Oldsmobiles, Olds, etc.
but not gaskets or bolts or wheels or chromed ones

Now with the asterisk being forbidden how does one eliminate the words of no interest?

do you really have to minus out
Gasket, and
gaskets, and
wheel, and
wheels,

etc.??

Let's share some tips.

I've been doing the minus thing. -gasket -gaskets -etc. Yeah, I liked the * much better but haven't been able to get that to work in a while. If someone else knows a better way I'd be interested to hear too!

agreed, "-fits" is a must

It used to be easy to find a similar Olds carb

for example if you want any '68-9 Olds carb, search for
(702825*,702925*)

But now you have to enter every possible variation, all the digits, and then hope the seller got it all right so you can find it.
