What pics???? Edit:never mind.

Alamo gave our rented three months ahead of time SUV to somebody else and tried to give my wife a mini jap-trap.
We almost didn't get our daughter to college on time because of it.
They just said "Sorry" and then called the cops on my wife because she read them the riot act and was going to leap over the counter and rip their throats out.
I love that girl.

Sorry about the weather but it sounds pretty cool actually.
It will be a memorable trip I bet.
I remember when I was 12 years old getting stuck in a storm in the middle of the lake in a 14 foot boat with 12-15 foot waves like yesterday.
Ever really kiss the ground like you meant it?

Sandy put her car away a while back so it was dry and like summer here for the last couple of weeks, raining and cool now but it was the best weather we've had all year around here.
Thanks again Sandy.
Maybe you need to have Sandy arrange a vacation for herself then go as far away as you can get from her?

I met Marty Moose at Walter/Wally World??

The lunatic fringe??

That's silly, how could a cow be named "Gene"???
Cows are girls, it would be "Jean".

I have a lab with a bull named Rosie O.

It's named after former Irish-American NFL football player Rosey O'Grier.

It is unknown who named the cow Gene, but Olivia is the first to use the name.

Hey... I'm getting technologically smarter!! Neener....Neener....Neener!!!

Rob.... Beautiful pictures!! Thanks so much for sharing! I've been down Highway 101 from Seattle... it is a beautiful ride! The Redwoods are awesome! There were a few times when the logging trucks on the highway scared me! I do believe I still have the picture I took of Paul Bunyon and his big blue bovine somewhere! LOL!!

Glad you had a good time.... vacations always go way too fast!

Rob and Tree Destruction w/Cow

I was checking out your pics Rob, pretty cool. The weather was a little wet but that's the Great Northleft I guess.
No rednecks there, not enough sun to get one.

What is this???!!

I'm no tree hugger but pushing over an ancient Redwood tree just to show-off isn't very ecological Rob, some of us may have wanted to go there and see it still standing someday.
You must have had your Wheaties for breakfast.

The bears are very prevalent, did you happen to see one driving a motorized Lazy Boy being chased by the Dudley Doright type RCMP on their horses???
He has a Georgia accent and may have a few of Jamesbo's "nieces" along for the ride?
I heard Bear was visiting Citcapp for driving lessons and to help clean his garage.

That old highway is like Planet of the Apes or something.
I know you like lighthouses and would have to visit one at least.
I think they're cool too, there is a car show every year by Lake Erie here and there is an old lighthouse you can take tours of and climb to the top. Those iron spiral staircases are wild, nice view of my car from up there.
I normally stay away from that type stuff due to my high anxiety but I did it anyway.

The pink pig was at an art gallery or was it a museum or a commisioned public work of art???
I know they have a lot enlightened people and culture up there, no rednecks so it ain't a barbecue grill... just an image or representation of one.

I just saw that Big Boy dude when I was in the fair town of Streetsyltucky at Denny's for my wedding anniversary feast, he's just across the street and down a bit.
I keep one of his famous burger sandwiches in my glove compartment for emergencies. I've eaten them after months of summer heat, they don't go bad... they mummify.
It's the secret sauce.

I'm hungry for some canned seal now, do you open it with a club or a baseball bat???
I'l have to get some Shake n' Bake or Seal Helper.
More recipes for the COokbook.

Thanks Sandy, now I know what a cow looks like.
Is that short for Eeeugene?
Tell it to be careful with that ax when he's in Interstellar Overdrive. If you have no idea look it up.

Ever hear former race car driver Sir Jackie Stewart being interviewed and talking in his deep Scottish accent about his old days racing Formula 1 racing cows?
Those old F-1 cows were dangerous, little protection and fiery cow crashes were the norm.

Really cool pics Rob. That tree that you were standing inside of reminds me of what they called "cathedral" trees in B.C. Basically they are the tallest trees in a given area so they constantly get hit by lightning and it actually burns out the centers of the trees but does not kill them. I always like a good storm surge at the coast , seeing giant waves crashing on the rocks. We had one here recently and as usual one of the tourists got swept into the ocean at Peggy's Cove. Allen could have used that pink pig for his upcoming movie.

On the contrary, sunburn is easy there with so much reflective ocean. I usually get some burn...

Well, it was leaning anyway - i just helped it... When it fell, it made no sound, so there is the answer to the age-old question...
Besides, there are many other trees left in the forest.

No, never saw... If I did, the video would have been online by now (I am usuall armed with a camera when on vacation). That would have been quite a sight!

Very spooky feeling indeed. I was just thinking about Packards, Studes, and old Olds'. Those old highways were quite narrow and the centerlines were white back then!

Oregon has several you can visit - up to 180 steps to the top though! I have no fear of heights and will hit the catwalks when I can.

It was a meat smoker, most logically for pork... Or maybe that is what pigs look like when they get swine flu...

I remember someone had the first big mac from the 50's up on a shelf somewhere. It turned some nasty colors, but was all there!

That is what they are called here, too, for the reason that they have that cathedral shaped opening. It is caused by the reason you gave. Chimney trees are way cool - the whole inside was burned out but the thing was still alive.

That happened in OR also - never turn your back to the waves - common sense.

That would be just the right addition...
