OK BOYS, they've surrendered! "Bout time too, our power bill is going to be crazy next month for turning all the air conditioners on in the country at once. Fellow Canadians, now that they've surrendered....what do we do with them? OK, OK I got it. You Americans there....for western Canadians please...(damn, we're to polite) FOR WESTERN CANADIANS we want Arizona and California warm, for eastern Canadians, please , FOR EASTERN CANADIANS we want Florida warm too...because we can't shut the dat burned things off! Sorry, we snapped off the universal "off" switch and it'll take until April to shut them all down manually.

We were n't really trying to take over, but the Olympics are coming and we wanted to make sure there'd be snow......sorry bout that.

Take heart Sandy , I have heard that it will warm up early this year so hang in there. I guess the good thing about nova Scotia is that we are stuck out into the gulf stream and it helps to push back on some of the cold weather. We did get 30cms of snow or 10 inches in American terms but temps have rarely been below the freezing mark. Supposed to be colder around the middle of next week and then go back up to +6 which is a little above 40F. Gotta get ready for the normal jan. rains which can cause flooding if there is any snow still around. Something that may affect large areas in the U.S. if they suddenly get warm wet weather. If y'all are going to surrender a state or 2 I would not mind having Maine and out west I think Alaska would seem more appropriate.

Jamesbo.... ya better have a nice warm bowl of Oatmeal! Or Mush.... I'm sure you eat mush, but probably fried! It's 18 degrees here, I don't know what the wind chill is, besides "friggin cold"!!

We have probably another 3 inches of snow this morning - roads are a big slushy mess, schools are closed. Winds are picking up and we have some flurries right now. Supposed to get the Lake Effect snow kicking in pretty soon and it's gonna blow and drift as the wind picks up.

Lovely.... just friggin lovely......

Wolfie, we're supposed to get to around 32 -33 degrees next week, and we may even see the SUN!!!!! What is the sun? I've heard about it... It's been crappy gray and different shades of gray here for weeks. Depressing as hell!!! I remember blue! And that strange glowing thing up in the sky... I know I remember it... I think?

Think how miserable we'd be without global warming!! LOL!!!

I think I had fried mush in the Amish area of Penn. When I visited Intercourse, I got a bumper sticker that said "I love Intercourse."

I bought some of the best Kraut I've ever had at a [or is it an] Amish Roadside stand. They also had beautiful Brocollli. The teenage girls had hairy legs and dirty feet though.

I took careful note of how the ladies drove the mules and helped harvest but alas, it didn't take. [might break a nail ya know]

Aren't there a lot of Amish in Ohio also?

Fasinating folk ................only they don't have Oldsmobiles

OOOH, OOOh [ Said like in "Car 54 Were are you?"}

Time for a Joke

What goes Clippity, Clop, Clippity Clop, BANG, BANG, BANG, Clipity Clop, Clipity Clop?

An Amish Drive by shooting.

That's funny!!!!!! Hairy legs and dirty feet??? Eeewwwwwww....

Yep... there are quite a few Amish in Ohio.... None here in my area, but Bluevista has some close by him! I saw some Amish ladies in Aurora at the Marc's store a couple weeks ago, in their lovely dresses... wearing their bonnets, stockings, and work shoes!

There is/was a "Join Canada" campaign I heard of coming from Alaska and more recently from Vermont. As usually our government ignored a petition from Vermont to become the 11th province. The Turk and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean have been asking since 1973 to join as province or as part of Nova Scotia and three times we've said "Thanks, but no thanks". This could have been Canada's Hawaii but noooooooo...which just goes to show you that some politicans up here have their brains frozen.

Well don't want to rub it in any further but it was warmer in Alaska than most parts of the south.Weather patterns all over are frigged up. Snow in england and spain while Siberia is unusually warm?? seriously hot in Australia as is usual for the last few years. The weather is a changing and not sure it's all a good thing.

With deals like this I think we should leave the cold air on till July.We have all the politicians we need. It was so cold here last night our government had their hands in their own pockets for a change.

Sandy we got a pile of snow last night. About a 1/2 inch or so.(lol)

Anyone want to make a comment about how much it rains in the Pacific Northwest. I'll take our rain at 45 to 50 degress over the cold and snow in Atlanta or them other "warm" southern states

I have my Wings sweatshirt on today! No, I'm not a fan, it was a Christmas gift from my sister when she lived in Eastpointe. I liked it cause it's red! It says Detroit in white and black letters, and has a white wing on it! It's warm too!!

All you guys that used to be in the military should know the answer to:

What does it mean when someone says "It's cold enough to freeze the ***** off a brass monkey?" Of course I am waiting breathlessly for Bluevista and his troop of monkeys to displain it in a creative way. So, how many of ya know?

Like a lot of things in life, it's better to have too much snow than not enough, or none at all.

Sandy....If your favorite color is red why is your....
Redgoat has a red car.

How about some red flames on the front end?
Redline tires?
Would you believe....red tires?
With a chebby orange engine when the hood's open it will look like lime Jello with carrots embedded in it, wait a minute......I had to hurl.

I hates cold rain worse than the cold and snow, can't do anything when it rains without getting wet, along with the normal cold and miserable.

You can work outside in the snow, even bricklayers will do that, to a certain low temperature of course.
The crawcrabs don't like the cold either, don't need those thing attacking and peenching you when you're out sled riding.
The streaking fad ended fast because of those things.

Displain it??

Military?
I thought that the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy was still in effect?

Those are flying monkeys sir.

I don't know why you would want to freeze them off?
There's easier ways to do it than that.
Just have them watch American Idol or one of those dance shows and they'll just disappear.
You could also hang a pic of Rosie O'Donnel in their cage and it would have the same effect as absolute zero.
Make sure they're not above you or wear a hardhat if you ever do it, that brass is heavy and can hurt when it falls and bonks you in the head.
I hate when that happens.

In the Land Down Under they do it to the baby sheep with their teeth, ask Col Wickham.
Be pretty tough with brass ones though?
Maybe that dude Jaws from the Bond movies could get a side job?

I don't have any brass monkeys, they're flight chacteristics aren't very good.

Thats actually a myth. Cannon ***** were never kept on deck exposed to the elements as they would rust and be harder to work with.
