gas pumps and signs
A friend of mine has an auction house and he's gonna sell 3000 signs and hundreds of ole gas pumps. Here's a sample. The tractor trailer full of signs hasn't gotten to Atlanta yet [and yes I axed him if there were any Oldfsmobile ones] and he said I don't know there are 3000 of them I haven't had a chance to look at allo of them.

It would be nice to see if he had anything Olds related. I've been working on some Olds themed Gas Pumps for awhile now but keep getting distracted. My Pumps are Sunoco Colors, Rocket Fuels brand, Skyrocket "98" & Starfire "106" octane just waiting to build my Island with an Air Pump and Oil Can Stand.

Here are a few links to consider, showing restored and repros:

I did a little surfing on the topic of antique gas pumps and found it has a significant following. Go figure. There's a large support market for hobby enthusiasts of every kind. That's what makes hobbies great; there's no end to what will end up being one.

Here is my boss' place. He has tons of signs and gas station stuff in his garage. I met him when he was buying his 1969 442 W30 Conv 4 spd. and the 1970 442 W30 Conv. We went to a swap meet last year and I spent $5 for entry fee and some oldsmobile keychains. He spent $4600 that trip. He has now hung lighted signs (Shell, Texaco, etc.) down the centre of the building. I took most of these pictures during his annual Christmas party.
