I was familiar with the football (soccer here in USA) formation 4-4-2, but was surprised to see there’s an almost 30 year old periodical with that moniker!

 

That is interesting. Is 4 4 2 a formation of guys or????

 

4-4-2 is a traditional and widely seen formation in soccer. We used it in high school, and I always thought it was cool when coach was talking about our on field setup, “ok guys let’s get into a 4-4-2”. Of course I was thinking about my car, the only 4-4-2 at the school...

yeah ok coach but I can really only fit 3 or 4 teammates, it’s a 4 speed with buckets...
