A friend of mine is currently restoring a '31 Essex. It's also interesting when looking through the 60's car mags classifieds, and seeing the prices of used muscle, and frequently Europeon cars.

 

I have some old car magazines from the 60's when they used to put adds in the back. You could buy a pretty decent 40 Ford couple with a Merc engine for $300. Of course back then the car was only a little over 20 years old. I sold my 40 Ford sedan with a 265 Chevy in 1964 for $300.
