old lady car found

I picked this one up today. all complete, and it ran good when parked years ago. I'm not real sure what I will do with it, but she is pretty solid. 350 2bbl car with over 100,000 I am quite sure.

It looks pretty good on the inside,
and fairly straight on the out.
With a 2 bbl. a daily driver?

It sure wouldn't take much at all. She needs wheels.

Looks like a really solid car. I'd probably fix it up a bit & drive it. Looks like it has some nice options on it.

Lol drive it and use it as a reference to put the 442 back together as long as it has been apart. Seriously though this car is untouched as far as I can tell, hell the am fm is still in it.

Thank you. I think it has been about 20 years now sense I have driven one of 70 to 72 cutlasses or 442's so this should be fun.

Nice find. That dash, the goodies in it and especially those door panels look excellent. Any progress on the 442?

I know, man this dash is perfect !
I have played with the 442 some, fender and hood alignment... I am waiting for my bumpers to get done right now then I can finish the panel alignments. Thanks for asking.

We really need to get together sometime with some of the other local CO guys. Who is doing your bumpers? I was going to use DC bumper again, but might want something a little better for the W-30.

I wish, but I am quite sure it has rolled over from the looks of the brake pedal.

Just a update on the 72. I have the roof for her now, and got the car started up today. there was a bunch of rust that came out of the exhaust tail pipe, but she cleared out and ran fine. I did have to replace the fan clutch, it was about to go threw the hood it was so loose. I have one lifter that wont quiet down, but that is a easy fix.
One thing I am worried about is the timing chain and gear, the engine doesn't look like it has ever been apart.

You can rotate the crank back and forth and watch how far the rotor moves.

True, but there is a lot of ware on the pedal . I don't think one could put that kind of ware on it in less then 50,000 miles. But if it was all in town,
Who knows.

Thanks Eric , I will give that a try.
I have been told you can see the timing mark move back and forth with the timing light if the chain and gear has slop in it.

I'm going to check it out. I hope I don't have to change it out. Lol , but you are right. If I find much slack in it at all, then it will be changed.
