Embedding YouTube Videos Directly Into Posts
Thought I've successfully did this in the past ... but maybe not.
Other people do it all the time here ... so it must be something I'm doing wrong.
In regards to a YouTube video ...
The "share" link YT provides that one is supposed to copy & paste which should make this easy ... isn't working for me.
I've tried several different combinations of tags before & after the YT generated share link ..... still won't work.
The closest I ever get is a link that needs to be clicked on manually which physically takes you to YT to view a video vs being able to play it right inside a post.
What am I doing wrong ?.

Don't know. What I do is copy the video URL from the video itself. Then Paste it into the dialogue box using the "insert link" tool. When you do that, the portion of the link that highlights can then be overtyped with the title you want to put on it. Anyway, that's how I do it and it works. Good luck.

Copy the title in Bold type of the video
Should look like this....
Merry Cruisemas from Hagerty
Then in the reply box here on CO, paste that title.
Now highlight what you just pasted by holding down the left click on your mouse and moving your mouse over the whole title.
Then click this icon
Then go back to youtube and copy the whole web address (URL) of the video at the top of the page.
Should look like this....
Then go back to CO and paste that URL into the popup box that appears after you clicked this icon
Now click "Post Quick Reply"
Voila should look like this

By the way [YT] and [/YT] does not work here. Most forums that do support that format all you need is what comes after the = in the URL
"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGf-yOsr4uE"
Like this
[YT]BGf-yOsr4uE[/YT]

I posted 1 earlier today but I'll admit I wasn't trying to.
I found the video I wanted to share on YouTube. Under the video, I clicked on the "share" tab. The link is highlighted in a box. I just right clicked on link, chose "copy", came to my thread here, right clicked and hit "paste". Link showed up in thread but when I posted it, the video was embedded.

That seemed to work Scot.
The confusing thing was it didn't appear that it would ... but I did it anyway.
Kind of the opposite of what I was trying earlier where it would actually embed before my eyes, than disappear once I tried to post.
Your how-to might be worthy of a sticky.
