Eddie Hansen?

Has anyone heard from Eddie lately?
Noticed, I haven't read anything from him for a long time now and saw he wasn't active since July 18th, I already tried to send him an E-mail, but didn't get a reply!
I just hope he's fine!

I noticed Eddie had not been around in a while too. He was around several months ago and said he had been real busy on other projects. Maybe work I cannot remember.

I sent him and e-mail asking him to check in with the site. We'll see what happens.

Thank You!!

Hello All, First I would like to thank everyone for checking on me, it means the world to me really!!!
I am fine, I have had a helluva last 6 months or so, mostly work related it was like an avalanche, then my uncle who was like a father to me got ill, was in hospice and has now passed to Valhalla, I was overwhelmed, and my hobbies took a back seat, but I have not quit, I hope to get restarted in the new year and I will post my next progress report.

I will take this time to wish you all the very best for the New year, I hope you have all had great holidays and a wonderful Christmas!!

And thanks for showing me that this car "brotherhood" is a real brotherhood that transcends, gears, tools and grease, I truly am humbled by that!!

all the best, and speed on brothers...

Eddie

Eddie,
My condolences to you on your Uncle's passing. I can appreciate how that can affect a guys equilibrium. I'm glad to hear you're ok and doing well. And here I thought you were just out playing with those model boats of yours.

Time to flex those mighty tightey whitey's of yours and get back to your project. Hee hee hee, my rear end's doing fine too, thanks for askin......heck, you know what I mean.... BTW, I'll pass along best wishes from Brian M as he doesn't get on here much any more and his 69 442 vert project has done left the stable for TX after a 7 yr build. Turned out looking better than new!

Best of the season to you, and hopefully a much better 2014.

Welcome back Eddie - I wish you the best in everything.
Very sorry to hear about your uncle - I know exactly how you feel. I lost a very good friend to cancer recently, which I found out about 5 days ago.
I am hoping resuming the projects will shift our minds to brighter places.
Get to feeling better and hope the new year brings us good changes!

Eddie, I'm sorry to hear about your Uncle. I still lurk around a little but don't check in as much as I used to, as Allan mentioned. But when you get back on your vert I will follow along.

Thanks Alan, no boats neither, I use to race at the national level and even placed at several nationals I haven't even had time to make a local race in a couple of years... I was organizing some tools as well and even that hasn't been on the menu....

My uncle was the best guy I have ever met, he could be anything from a friend, to a father, to a great uncle all in the same day. Vern Jensen served in world war two ( Danish Navy) was imprisoned, then fought with the danish underground, came to the US worked for dumont, then worked for Bell labs as an engineer, he loved electronics and tinkering, he actually got me into boats, he built an old sterling kit in the 50's, then built the radio etc.
He gave me his 72 buick skylark ( 350, turbo 400,4 bbl, posi that only had 40K miles on it, but had been sitting under a tarp for 20 years..... that was a neat resto...

and my other mistress "work" has me busy, and it isn't physical exhaustion it is mental, for me that is worse.... add to it my daughter was in Australia ( she got a chance to work in Parliament and study at the University of sydney) yada yada yada life takes over.... I still putter in the garage looking forward to hanging those quarters....

Very much appreciate the kind words...
