Well, summer has arrived in full force and my car is in hibernation until fall.

Yeah, that would kill my driving plans too - with or without A/C.

I was in Phoenix yesterday on a one day trip - it felt like being in a convection microwave oven at about 3:00 PM when I was gassing up the rental car - just brutal.

Yeah, convection oven is an accurate description. I was walking the dog at 10:45 pm a few days ago, 108º with a strong wind and I was thinking convection oven.

As for the AC thing, over the years some folks have asked why I have AC in a convertible. It has been mandatory in all the places I have lived.

Over 100 -114 yikes!!! Kenneth how do you even enjoy days like that. The heat makes me tired after a couple cold ones outside, with those temps I'd be sleeping all the time!!

I stay inside. The swimming pool was 92º so that doesn't even feel good. My garage is above 100 degrees, so no working on the car either..

Sounds like losing AC is life threatening.

Its so hot here, I just ordered the factory remote start for my wife's van. Normally, that's a wintertime thing.

Current temp in Charlotte, NC shows to be 94º. Double digits are springtime temps.

Being originally from the Pittsburgh area, I tend to sweat when it reaches above 75 degrees. But I would take your humidity!

You would probably die at my house - the thermostat is set to ~80 during the summer.
That sounds hot, but it's all relative. When I walk in from outside it feels cold.

Im at 77-8 and it stays there most of the time...i keep blinds closed, doors shut etc..if i get warm..i find the fan..if i sweat, i will drop it down a couple degrees to cool the house off...but it goes back up pretty quick..its the humidity around here..i live next to the Kansas River etc..it gets bad..and lack of it on the house, 77 is very comfortable..
