If there is a way for you to request and receive the password attempts information (what they actually tried to enter as your password, 5X), that info may be important to see how close they got and how serious the problem is.

Yeah , what's the world coming to . I keep getting these calls from someone with an accent telling me to give them info from my computer because I have a very serious windows threat going on . I did call Norton a couple years ago because of a virus on my wife's PC , and they had me call this company not directly related with them to go on my PC and remove it . I watched them the whole time , they had a heck of a time getting rid of it . ( darn online kid games ) I'm wasn't sure if this was the place or not . I keep asking them a bunch of questions but they won't answer them . I'm not giving them anything ! I am planning on doing an aggressive scan on my PC offered by Norton to be safe , but this may wipe out programs I don't want it to . I was thinking about getting an air horn can for this guys ear the next time

Watch yourself out there , these idiots get your info just by looking in the friken phone book !

I was called twice in one day from these "concerned" overseas losers. The one claimed that my computer is infecting their servers and I need to help him fix the threat (by booting up my computer and going through his direction to allow him remote access to fix it)! Yeah right! I told him I didn't have a computer and he hung up... Before I had a chance to tell him I had 4 computers in the house and how was he going to tell me which one is infected...
Anyway, I hope by now, anybody that can log onto a computer (hopefully including my in-laws) knows that this is a scam that will turn out badly for you and your information on your computer, maybe even your bank information and access to your money....

OK, if I may ask a dumb question here, it may look like hackers, but WHY?

I can see someone trying to hack into your bank account, brokerage account, savings account, Social Security account, or something like that.

But your classicoldsmobile account? As I said, what on earth for? What are they going to do if they do manage to log in as you? Ask questions about their Oldsmobile that they're too nervous to ask about under the own name?

I don't see the advantage to a hacker in gaining access to your CO account. There's no motivation here.
