My therapist tells me I need to learn to cope, but I am not sure this is what he means.

There are various uses, but my dad used such a coping saw to run crown moulding and such as he was a journeyman carpenter. It was essential for cutting the backside out of the joints so they fit tightly. In his day about the only electric saws used on residential building sites were Skill Saws, and it was a rarity to even see a table saw set up. Along with this type coping saw he also utilized a carpenter hand saw, and a manual brace and bit for drilling holes.

I like the Stanley brand saw, most people don’t know how to cope moldings. You never miter an inside joint.
