Christmas Story Christmas, no Oldsmobile!

So yes I am a fan of the Christmas Story movie and icing on the cake is that Ralphie's dad was an Oldsmobile man". The new movie has Ralphie driving a beater Plymouth needing a radiator, what a disappointment! Well the new movie is ok, nothing will measure up to the original. I viewed it thru HBO. The original was set in 1940 this one 1973 and it was fun seeing the kids as adults.

I didn't know they rebooted that movie. Sort of hard to top perfection.

Did the movie have the part about the car being "goat's-vomit green," or was that only in the book?

Don't remember a line like that in the movie.

Haven't had the opportunity to see the new one yet, but the original is definitely my favorite Christmas movie! I can watch it year after year and still laugh my **** off.

I saw it also! It's alright just like most remakes, never measures up!

Mopars ( moparts) are all beaters. Let’s just call it a Chrysler.
