Chicago Trip

I have to travel to Chicago for business on June 12 & 13. Was planing on flying in on Saturday June 10 so I will have all day Sunday June 11 to do whatever. I'm wondering if there are any car shows or events worth checking out in the area. Any input form CO friends in that area would be great.
Thanks
Chris

Alsip is a south western suburb. I'll take a look at wahts down that way. I know wthere are some drive-ins like Dukes' on 87th and Harlem that cars show up to but I beleive that is mostly Saturday nights.

That would be great I get into O'Hare at 2:30 in the afternoon so I could hit a Saturday night event for sure. If you have time let me know where they are, thanks for your help I really appreciate it.

Chris, you may want to check out Lombard cruise night Saturday evening. Lombard is a 35 minute drive from Alsip. I live in Lombard. There are several places to eat, live band every week. If its nice all day, over 100 plus cars easy. Also several blocks from the show, there is a Dairy Queen from 1955 with the original neon sign. Cars start showing up around 4. Really packed between 5 to 9. Jim.

You can drive around 30-40 minutes south of Alsip and go to the Tri-Five event at the Will County Fairgrounds (Peotone) Il. Held this year June 11th. I believe it's the 45th event. If it's a nice day the Fairgrounds are packed with all makes and models, classics for sale and massive swap meet. I always look forward to it. I drove the cutlass last year to this event and had a great time. I may Drive it again this year.

Chris, I won't have a car to drive there. I will be there with my father. He has a 57 ninety eight. My 67 toro and 65 442 are in storage . Doing a body off restoration on my 67 442 and need all the garage space. This is the second year in a row, I don't have a car to cruise. SUCKS. Jim
