Car Show in Antonia, MO, Saturday June 3rd, Post 1
Hi guys,
Went to a nice local show in Antonia, MO today which is about 30-miles south of St. Louis, and about 11-miles northwest of me. It was a charity show for Cystic Fibrosis. The organizer said there was 173-cars. Format was Top 35 for all vehicles pre-1990, and Top 10 for all vehicles 1990 and newer. I only took pictures of the nicer pre-1990 stuff today. There will be two posts.

As always thanks for your efforts. Always appreciated. Plenty of nice cars there. I dig uniqueness of the purple and white 55 Bel Air. Nice work on the 38 Oldsmobile also.

I appreciate someone like you who enjoys looking at all kinds of cars, and gets enjoyment out of my efforts! Thanks for checking them out!

I could comment on damn near every car. Any 409 car rocks. Nevermind that big block Galaxy. So so many cool cars. I will admit my love for Chevelle's too. I have mad memories of them. I once saved my money to buy a 66 SS 396 with hubcaps still. Little old lady. Brought my cash to her house. Her grandson came in and said nope. Didn't care one crap about her but sure wanted her car.

The '64 Bel Air with the 409 and 4-speed was one of my top 2 favorites, along with '63 Galaxy XL with the rare 406, also a 4-speed car. Both were immaculate! Personally, I like the the '66-'67 Chevelles better than the '68's - '72's, same with the rest of the GM A-bodies, hence me owning a '67 4-4-2. Probably my 3rd favorite was the '66? Plymouth Barracuda Formula S, another really nice car. You just don't see many of those make/model/trim levels and that's why I like them so much.
Is that 57 ragtop from Colorado do you know? 1957 was an anniversary year for Chevrolet. People don't know that. A 57 ragtop is special that year. You could actually get a silver interior car in 1957. I knew of a black white top silver interior ragtop that was literally chained to a light post. I would love to hear that that car is still out there.

Sorry , I do not know where the car was originally sold? I am however very acquainted with the owner, and I have actually sat with him at a couple of shows, a super nice guy. We frequent many of the same events and next time I see him I'll ask about the history of the car, at least I'll try and remember???
