blast from the past, are you brand loyal ?

Growing up there were certain things I remember because I saw them so often, Brands that came in to the house, brands that my folks used religiously. I have some that I stick by but I sometimes become practical and can be swayed by price.
Any way here are just a few that I remember as a kid . I will start with this one Holsum Peanut butter because my mom used to buy it by the bucket and the buckets would wind up being used for various things around the house and yard. Dad was a very simple man, he did smoke a pipe and the only tabacco that ever filled the bowl was Iwan Ries (still in business) he also used a safety razor with a shaving mug and Williams was his soap of choice, Mom was a great cook but preferred margarine (yuk I'll take butter please) and we had a beautiful pure bred Collie that a lived to be 14 years old and ate cheap *** Strongheart canned dog food every day of her life (they still make it too ) so here ya go.

I got Williams shaving soap cakes in my closet right now, but I am not picky. I like Coke and Pepsi preferably, but will drink much any other soda if free. Tide soap. Decent paper towels that aren't select a size, like Brawny. Not picky in firearms brands, car brands, tool brands, audio equipment brands, as long as it's good stuff. I guess I drink red container Folgers. Aqua Velva. I like a specific brand contact lens and associated supplies, but that's medical. Hanes socks, boxers, and undershirts. Red Wing boots, Brooks running shoes, and New Balance other shoes. I wear Lee jeans but they are cheap. My surname is Lee, and I don't like having the size on the *** like Levi's does. Japanese Feather safety razor blades are good. Maroon bottle McGuire's Quick Detailer is the ****.

My Dad always used Three Star Blue in his pipe. Got it at Osco Drug Store. It came in a pouch. Forgot all about that stuff. Used to be a staunch General Motors guy. The past few years the General has made decisions I haven't been too keen on, so my eyes wander a little now. Tide laundry detergent absolutely. Skippy peanut butter. Levi's. Coca Cola. German Shepherds. Okay that's not a brand.
