B-17 Nine-O-Nine crash

Lost another piece of history with the crash of the Nine-0-Nine. Lives lost were enjoying what they loved to do. I flew in the Texas Raiders B-17 two years ago, checking of a spot from my bucket list.

I read about this crash. Definitely a bummer. I wonder what the name of the plane was (since they all had nose art)?

Nine-0-Nine. Did you not read the heading?

My dads brother was a co-pilot on a B-17 in WWII. Flew with the bloody 100th. Shot down on his first mission to bomb Bremen. His plane never had the nose art painted. Was supposed to be "Bar Fly"

Sad indeed. I had visited the Collings Foundation museum a number of times in the past, great facility. We got to sit in Nine-0- Nine while it was there on static display.
