After the 3 shots, still got it.

Went up to the neighbors house last Friday to help him with some issues on his truck and came down with Covid a couple of days later. So far, after a having it for a week and giving it to the wife, neither of us have had severe symptoms. It's been kinda like having the flu, body aches, fever, severe cough, chest congestion, and the overall feeling like crap. The only thing we've been taking is Advil cold and sinus, using my albuterol inhalers every 4-6 hours, and some cough drops. I don't know if the shots helped, but hopefully a few more days and it will be over with.

Unvaxxed here. I'm in my 70's and I've had it twice. I took Ivermectin Horse Paste both times. Started feeling better in 2 days. Feeling good in 5 or 6 days and back to playing in the garage both times. Never went to my respiratory system either time.

I just don't buy in. You know how many people that I know that have had the shots and still got it?

I swear I had it before it was called by name. I worked in a building with 2500 hundred people. I was the facilities guy. I knew every one of the 2500 people. I was all over that building every day. 26,000 steps every day no lie. I was around everyone. I came home the December before with the worst fever I had possibly ever had. Lasted four days or so. Once it passed zero problems. Zero shots here thank you.

Funny odd coincidence back in the seventies there was a flu called the bird flu. Very few people caught it. I was one of them. They (whoever They were) came and pulled me out of third grade. I spent who knows how long in the hospital. I remember feeling like the boy in the bubble. I often wonder if that built up my immunities to this flu.

The Corona virus has mutated many times and has adapted. The vaccine and boosters won't hurt you. They are trying to develop an updated vaccine to work against the latest "variants".

Funny thing with Any flu shot is it does Not prevent you from getting the flu. The percentage is actually very weak. I have no issues with anyone that gets any shots. Your body your call.

The flu shots were never designed to keep you from getting covid. They keep you from getting deeply ill, and possibly dying. I got covid even though I had the three vaccines, my symptoms were very mild, a slightly scratchy throat and a post nasal drip. I am around many people in the education sector. Nobody else in our home got it, all had three shots. My neighbor's son got it and it was like a medium cold to him, he also had the three shots. I liken the vaccines to air bags and seat belts. They may not prevent you from getting hurt in an accident, but they very well may save your life.

I had three shots and a booster, still got it, not a piece of cake either. I'm still having issues with my balance, first three steps from getting up are a mystery. Has been at least six weeks ago, and it's getting somewhat better, or I'm getting use to walking like a penguin for the first few yards.... Take your shots or take your chances, it's really up to you and luck...Tedd

Hate to hear that Eric. We have been fortunate that none of the five of us in our household have gotten it. My wife and I both had the two Maderna shots and then two boosters. My daughter and grandsons had the J&J vaccination and boosters. I have good friends that both recently got it. He had been vaccinated and boosted and she had not. Her case was lots worse than his. That seems to be the case from what I have heard.

yes, but don’t tell me I can’t do this or that if I didn’t get the Covid flu shots.

Ivermectin tablets are approved by the FDA to treat people with intestinal strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis, two conditions caused by parasitic worms. In addition, some topical forms of ivermectin are approved to treat external parasites like head lice and for skin conditions such as rosacea.

But... At least you won't have worms. Starting to feel better today, mostly a hacking cough to clear crap out of chest and throat.

Glad your on the mend Eric. When I got COVID I spent 5 days in the hospital but I had already had the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. My nurses told me I was the only one on the COVID ward that wasn't sedated and intubated. I spent 5 days watching TV. It's been over a year and my sense of smell is still lousy.

We were traveling up a river in Germany in May. I commented to my wife that one
US couple on the passenger boat was less than causal about wearing their masks which were mandatory while inside. They appeared to not be wearing masks while ashore exploring inside areas in Berlin. We all were tested for Covid at least every other day. This couple tested positive about the time we reached Saxony and were taken off the boat back to Berlin where they were confined to a room in a Holiday Inn for a minimum of 14 days. They had to pay for the room. And, no, you cannot leave your room or the country.

2-1/2 years COVID free and me now too. At least its totally benign. If I didn’t take a test I would have assumed it’s was a summer cold. Slight cough, low grade fever, head congestion.

Five or six friends - all vaccinated. Caught (most likely) the variant (expensive to type-match so no one really does it unless you're laying in ICU). FYI - Their cough lasted ~2-3 weeks.

~27% - 30% of ALL common colds are of the Coronaviridae (Corona) virus family. SARS-CoV-2 just happens to be another (but worse). Rhinovirus (which is the most common cold virus - ~70%) belong to the Picornaviridae family.

I hope you are not equating a peer reviewed, double-blind, national study by Duke Medical School with an opinion by Dr Robert Malone published on The Vigilant Fox. Here is an interesting article about Dr Robert Malone who, like The Vigilant Fox, publishes on the sub stack platform:

The Latest Covid Misinformation Star Says He Invented the Vaccines

“Dr. Malone also routinely sells himself on the shows as the inventor of mRNA vaccines, the technology used by Pfizer and Moderna for their Covid-19 shots, and says he doesn’t get the credit he deserves for their development. While he was involved in some early research into the technology, his role in its creation was minimal at best, say half a dozen Covid experts and researchers, including three who worked closely with Dr. Malone.

In spreading these exaggerations and unfounded claims, Dr. Malone joins medical professionals and scientists, like Dr. Joseph Mercola and Dr. Judy Mikovits, whose profiles have grown during the pandemic as they spread misinformation about mask-wearing and convoluted conspiracy theories about virus experts like Dr. Anthony Fauci.

In addition to his regular appearances on conservative shows, Dr. Malone has more than 134,000 subscribers to his Substack newsletter. About 8,000 pay the $5 monthly cost, he said, which would amount to at least $31,200 in monthly revenue. And mentions of him on social media, on cable television and in print and online news outlets have soared — to more than 300,000 so far this year, according to Zignal, a media research firm.

The coronavirus pandemic has “given rise to a class of influencers who build conspiracy theories and recruit as many people into them as possible,” said Emerson T. Brooking, a resident senior fellow for the Atlantic Council who studies digital platforms. “These influencers usually have a special claim to expertise and a veneer of credibility.”

“And almost without exception, these influencers feel that they have been wronged by mainstream society in some way,” Mr. Brooking added.”

….

Months ago, he was promoting the drugs hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin for treatment of Covid-19, despite several studies and scientific trials showing a lack of evidence that the drugs improved the conditions of Covid patients. Dr. Malone said that early on in the pandemic, he believed that what he could contribute was bringing repurposed drugs to market.

“Robert Malone is exploiting the fact that data-driven course correction is inherent to the scientific process to peddle disinformation,” Dr. Rasmussen said. “It’s extraordinarily dishonest and morally bankrupt.”

This morning the congestion seems to be a bit better with a little less coughing. The wife has not had near the congestion issues that I've had with it and seems to be well on her way to recovery.

Glad you and the Mrs. are feeling better Eric. When I had COVID my wife was diagnosed at the same time. Even though she spent 4+ hours on a gurney in the hospital ER she ended up toughing it out at home. Thankfully, the hospital bill was covered by Uncle Scam since it was COVID related.

This covid crap is real and I lost many family and friends from that stuff last year. Hang in there Eric because the treatments these days are much better than they were a year ago.

I'm not a Scientist so I can't decide which study is flawed and which is not. I just related my own experiences. I was concerned the first time. I followed the advice of someone I trusted and I went from bad to feeling good in 5 days. The sixth day I was back in my garage but taking it easy. The second time around Christmas, it was deja vu, all over again. Being in my 70's, I'm old school. If I find something that works I'm going to do it again. Everyone can do or believe what they want. I only posted originally to give my experience as possibly another option to help but some take offense it seems IMO.

I have not used any treatments other than advil cold and sinus in the beginning, an albuterol inhaler, which I think is my saving grace (for my copd), mucinex made it worse. Currently on day 11 and still tested positive this morning, but like I said physically feeling better.

I'm also not scientist and take all articles with a grain of salt. At least I know with my heart condition, diabetes, and copd I can live through it.

Eric, glad you came out the other side easily enough. I finally caught it last week as well.
Today is day 4 and I feel just about back to normal.

Can I ask if your blood type is O- ?
A LOT of the folks I know who've gone this far without catching it are.
