86 Chevy c10

I have a 86 chevy c10 with factory 4.3 v6 motor. I found a 350 out of a 75 chevy truck. The question I have, will this be a direct fit? I know the motor mounts and fan shroud have to be changed.

Personally, I think you are on the wrong site for this question.

I would agree. Now if he wanted to swap in a 455 this would be the place to ask for info!!

I have done this swap several times. You need to change the frame mounts to a V8 style. While the 4.3 v6 and v8 engines share lots of parts, the engine mount location is in a different place. I think the power steering and other accessory brackets will fit.

This is about the easiest swap there is, simply because GM made millions of these trucks. Parts are easy to find.

The 75 350 would really benefit from a cam and cylinder head swap. Otherwise the performance gain might be a little underwhelming..
