Drag links
Drag links
Everyone remember to check your center&drag links for wear. I finally called it quits on mine with 149,000 ish miles yesterday. It had so much play in it that I could sway the bar side to side about 1/4'' in either direction
$70 bucks later, the car feels brand new again.
A regular check well worth not losing steering and dying for.
It was a rough week for the ol' rat. It broke a motor mount in the -4 degree weather and the motor shifted 3/4'' forward and shredded the water pump and power steering belt. Alternator took a dump, #1 plug fouled, and the hot air tube on the head broke.
Believe it or not the temp light came on, after 2 miles running no pump.... on a -4 degree day going 75Mph.
Sheesh, everyone keep your coolant in motion at all times, because mother nature is certainly no help at all.
