Body drop
Body drop
Ok I want the car to sit lower than it is. I have had it lower and it was on the bumpstops in the front. The ride wasn't bad but handled like crap, so I raised it back up. So I had the idea to simply take out all the rubber body mounts and sit the body right on the frame. Maybe not as easy as it seems. But it would give me a nice drop of an inch or so without effecting the handling. I realize the ride may be more harsh. Just not sure how harsh. And if I ever went with a cage I would at the very least need solid body mounts. So why not just mount it direct? Any info, opinions, or help anyone can provide would be welcome. Thanx.
EEk I had forgotten about the crossmember mounting points. I knew I would have to move the fuel and brake lines and some other things. But I need to get to the crossmember bolts. I am sure I could figure a way around it. but still one more thing to consider.
