Mini tub a 64

Is there a kit or any instruction on how to install mini tubs on a 64? Buddy came over and was pounding the idea in my head especially since the trunk is already cut out and ready for new pans. I do love the pro-touring look and a 64 would look sweet and LOW!

The stock inner wheel housings are already up against the outside of the frame rails. Without narrowing the frame, there's no benefit to a mini tub, with the possible exception that a more square cross section of the tub MIGHT allow a marginally wider tire to fit. It's a lot of work for little gain.

Thanks Joe. Have you seen 315x60 on 15x8 rims on a 64-65?

A 315 is an awfully wide tire for an 8" rim. I had a friend with 305's on a 10" rim and it had just the right amount of budlge. If have seen 65 Chevelles running a 275/40/17 on a 9 1/2" rim, no mini tubs.
