1968 radiator support bushings don't fit!

hi guys, I'm having trouble fitting my core support. I'm on my second set of bushings and still no joy. As I understand it, the big part is supposed to stick through the core support and the little cap piece fits on top then the washer. None of the bushings I've gotten to date have fit through the hole in the support. Before I enlarged that hole, I thought I'd get some opinions. Go!

If the hole is too small in the core support, you can either make it bigger or find a set that looks like this.

Ordered. Thanks!

Not sure how I ended up with 2 sets that didn't fit. Oh well.

I just had the same situation. They wrong bushings which are GM 1961-77 didn’t fit. I wound up shaving some of the rubber off. —Billy

Just out of curiosity where did you get the bushings from? The square bushings above are correct for 68

I bought them from Jurassic Classic Auto parts on eBay. I guess they’re wrong in their description.

FYI, any vendor that lists parts for a "GM" typically means "Chevy". Those parts may or may not be correct for an Olds, but chances are, they are not. That's like every ad that says the parts fit a "GM 350"... they are NOT going to fit an Olds 350.
