1968 Cutlass front drum hub

I have a 68 cutlass convertible with front drum brakes. I spun a race in the front hub and im looking for a replacement. If anyone knows where I can get a new or used one please let me know.

Thanks,
Glenn

Sounds like a good opportunity to upgrade to disc brakes. Any 68-72 drum brake A-body car can donate the hub, so you're not totally limited to 1968 Oldsmobile.

It's even better than that. Any 64-72 A-body (Cutlass, Skylark, Chevelle, LeMans), any 67-69 F-body (Camaro/Firebird), or any 68-74 X-body (Nova, Omega, Ventura, Apollo) with drum brakes have spindles that interchange. Also, since the steering arms bolt on, the spindles are the same on RH and LH. Most people throw these away when they upgrade to disk brakes (though you CAN convert the drum brake spindles to accept disk brakes with very minor machining).

Talking Drum hub

I would go to your local auto parts place and see what they have....I go to Car Quest...bearings and races fit a lot of different things over a lot of years ...I got a u-joint for my '53 Oliver off the shelf at Car Quest a couple years ago...and brake shoes and wheel cylinders for my '57 last year '07

I was too hasty in responding to the original guestion. The title said "hub" and I read "spindle". Sorry for the confusion. Having said that, the hub should be common to any of the cars I noted above with drum brakes. The 64-68 Jetstar 88 also used the same hubs.
