Year swap '71 absorbed into a '69

How much will interchange? I got a pretty decent '71 Cutlass gave to me for parts (I have a '69 442). I need the frame (and disc brake set up) and certain body patches; interior floor boards (driver's side), body mount right side of trunk, and quarters above the wheel wells and behind the rear tire. Any help will be appreciated.

Just about everything is a fit, except the trunk lid and hood.

NO sheet metal above the rockers interchange (except the upper roof panel). You can't even cut patch panels - the body lines are different.

So all the floor pans will interchange? Right? New quarters aren't badly priced, I really only need the passenger side. The driver's side is still very repairable.

How heavy?

Does anyone know how heavy just the body shell is? When I pull the body of my '69 off I do not have access to a tractor or lift of any kind. Would 6 guys be able to lift the body off? And how should I sit the body while it is off the frame? I don't want to damage any of the panels, can I just sit it by the floorpans onto stacks of pallets? Any info is appreciated.

Yes, floor pans are ok. The exterior of the car is a completely different story. None of the sheet metal on a 69 interchanges with 71, not even the hood or trunk. Rickman, sorry but you're wrong on this one. You'll find a lot of trunk pans, floor pans, rear wheel liners, filler plates etc that are listed as 68-72 so there's a wide range of supply for the car. You can also get patch panels for 68/69 fenders

What parts of the 69 do you need and who are you looking at for parts supply? The best suitable donor for 69 is 68 or 69 of the same body style.

One of our guys (firefighter5174 - Tyler) has some 68/69 parts. Send him a PM and see if he has what you need.
