I'd also like someone to measure the height of their thick W30 stripe if they have an original car. I have the templates for that as well but have seen them painted at different heights. I have very old documentation that says the bottom of the thick stripe on the doors should be 8 inches above the top of the sill with the door closed. I have seen some only 7 inches and others all the way up to 8.75 inches. Anyone have an original car they are willing to measure the distance for me over the weekend. Thanks

Steven, you ever figure out the measurements for the 442 W-30 paint stripes? I'm having my 72' painted and I can't seem to find the specs for the ram-air hood stripes or the the stripes down the side of the car. I have the factory assembly manual, that shows where to place them, but it doesn't give the actual width of the stripe on the hood or down the side of the car. I'm dropping some good coin on the paint job, and I don't want to do decals. Can anyone out ther lend a hand?
