I've got one's that look very similar... off Ebay too, but I don't remember the vendor.

They work well, seem to be made well.... definitely beefy....

I put coil-overs with mine to lower, so I don't know how the original spring sets in them.

This the second time I have posted about this and no accidents or maiming have been reported. After I finish my cam change............ this or swapping the rear end will be my next project. Why did you use a coil over shock?
How different is the handling??
Any deaths to report????

Handles about the same actually. I have the 1 1/4" sway bar in the front, and a large one out back.
The ProComps are a direct copy of the Hotchkis arms. They easily accept coilovers and can easily adjust ride height with shims. The main gotchas are the "Delrin" bushings that come with them must have been machined with a hand knife, and the ball joints are highly suspicious. Get a rebuilt kit from Hotchkis and a quality balljoint, and you're well ahead. Yes, one should try to check the welds to make sure everything looks OK. IMO, the tubes and welds will be fine. Everything else (additional components, machining) is suspect but can easily be fixed.
The other pair is the other common copy. The main arm is the same, but the spring seat is very different. You don't get quite as much adaptability with that spring seat. I haven't see one of those pair, so I don't know what other pitfalls await. I would expect the same general concerns.
I talked to Mark at SC&C, and his funny note is calling those bump stops "pretty ice cubes". Once installed, the tie rod will actually hit the frame BEFORE those bump stops. They are also rock hard plastic. So good idea to replace those with something. I'm going to use the SPC progressive bumps that Mark sells.

I've read stories of off brands having ball joint failures, and have personally witnessed a whole range of upper control arm bushing issues of slipping over mounting shaft, splitting, and premature wear.
I'll stick with stock vs the off brands.

kmjent.com. This is where I got mine I did a part number search before I bought and today and it didn't have any reviews for the control arms . They seem pretty well built and I did plan on changing out ball joints to a better brand hope it helps

I bet that all the cheap arms are from same vender ?
at 200 buck, I would at least inspect welds and install better ball joints . I spent like fifty bucks more during the winter sales and plan to Change ball joints.
just my opinion we all like cheap , but in the end it's up to you some people don't mind the china stuff some do
