Rear springs
Hello everyone,
I'm looking to replace my rear springs as the driver side is sagging about an inch (67 supreme 330 4bbl jetaway A/C) Moog has a few options. Someone here posted that they used the Moog 5413 which has a same height dimensions, but a 167 spring rate and of course was a harder ride.
It looks like the Moog 6321 is most like the factory spring (119 spring rate, 689 load rate). My other option is the 5379 (121.5 spring rate, 760 load rate). Do you think the 5379 would raise the car too much or give too harsh a ride? There's only 2.5 diff in spring rate but a big difference in load rate.
Any help or past experience with this would be helpful,

Spring rate difference will not be noticeable, but the 5379 may raise approx 1/2" over the 6321.
The load rate is the anticipated weight on the spring installed in the car. Since the 4dr is heavier, it is wound to have the same height, while carrying more weight.
Remove 71lb load from the spring (760 vs. 689) & at a 121lb rate the car should rise ... 71/121 =.58"
Judging from the pictures of your car, I would expect the 6321 spring to lift the car up at least 1"-1.5".

Are you trying to lift the rear of the car with new springs , adjust ride height?? Or just trying to level it out / get it up higher on the drivers side??
2 of my cars have 1 inch spacers between the rear coil spring and the axle on Left , drivers side , to remedy the "A-Body lean" Changing springs did not do that.

My 71 has a solid block of aluminum under the spring. The 72 has a steel spacer that bolts on to the axle.... I may even have another one of these??
