New body mount questions

Unfortunately, there is no description of what mounts are used in which locations. And calling Fusick was not too helpful.

The kit comes with:

(2) of one kind of body mount
(6) of one kind of body mount
(8) of one kind of body mount
(10) of one kind of body mount
(12) bolts and washers.

Can anyone share any insights on what goes where?? PLEASE!!??

Thank you.
I am running into the same problem and the chassis book doesn't clarify where the 2 that are thinner then the rest. Did you have any luck ?

I moved your post to a new thread. @1972_NJ_Supreme hasn't logged in for many years. Hopefully someone can answer your question though.

Jesse - The PIM diagram I provided demonstrates correct part numbers & those part numbers are a departure from the original thread. It would help if you moved the 1972 PIM body mount diagram to this thread.

Jesse - Never mind (I guess), since I suppose the original thread remains - somewhat cumbersome is all. Thanks.

No big deal. The OP can find the info, it's all near the top now in resurrected threads.

There are several ways to perform a search or searches on this site (top RH corner); but, there are many discussions on body mounts &/or body mount bushing(s) & the like. Choose your wording carefully & it's possible to find good information, but like many things it'll take some work. When searching for a phrase or two words (generally in a 'string'), enclose those words/terms in quotes (include the quote marks). You'll begin to develop better search skills. Review the results of your search terms from your search results. One way to do this is to open a particular thread (you found in a search) then using your Browser use the "Find In Page..." feature to quickly determine if that thread might have pertinent information. I'll supply you w/ a wide search I performed on the two terms (in a string) >>> "body mount". Again, include the quote marks when you're searching on more than one term/word (especially when they're in a 'string' (e.g. connected together). You could perform the same type search but instead search for "body mount bushing" or "body mount washer", etc., etc.

Here's what's returned from the "body mount" search. Good luck.

yes mine says the same, but I have a nut up in my floor on that position. Why would a nut be up in the floor in that position if not going to be used? Has anyone here changed body mounts on a HT cutlass? Did you have just a bushing in 4 or was it bolted?

So I just removed the body from the frame on my 65 cutlass and it has a plug in position 4 and 5 but both locations have a nut in the body that is not used.
So 72 could be the same and they had nuts in places that may or may not been used.

Plugs at position 4 and 5

Position 5
