lower rear control arm question

Happy Holidays
Bought some aftermarket rear upper and lower control arms. Going to change the gearing and figured I might as well replace the suspension.
Long story short the new lowers a 1/4 in shorter than the factory lowers at the mounting points.
Being that the uppers are adjustable can I shorten those by the same amount as not to screw up the drive angle.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

What year car? Are you sure you got the correct LCAs for your year car? I doubt that a 1/4" will make any difference, but good thing you have adjustable UCAs to keep that pinion angle correct. Adjust the UCAs to obtain the correct pinion angle, not just to match the length of the old arms minus 1/4". Since the UCAs are angled the length difference to get the proper pinion angle will likely be more than 1/4".

I just finished replacing the LCA on my 67CS and my new LCA's also seemed to be shorter than the old ones but the bushings in the old LCA's were so perished that the metal tubes in the bushings had moved apart 3/8" or better. Just set the UCA's to the same length as stock for your initial setting and your pinion angle will likely be fine. My angle was nose down until I replaced the arms.

Thanks for all your input. I'll put it together after I get the rear end and go from there.
